I've officially BOOKED my first craft show at the Mistletoe Market: Holiday Craft & Vendor Showcase in Cuyahoga Falls December 14th!

I'm personally no stranger to craft shows, as they were one of my main jobs at my old job with Hattie Larlham and the Hattie's Cafes years ago. And I LOVED them. I headed up some big shows, at Hale Farm, the IX Center, and Crafty Mart at the Summit county fairgrounds.

Ever since starting Ma Belle Sweets during the Christmas Season in 2020, craft shows were something I'd hoped to do again. Farmer's Markets I just don't and won't do because my cakes and cupcakes themselves would melt. But my oreo gift boxes and hot cocoa items have continued in popularity each year during the holiday season, so it only made sense to dip my toes in the craft show side of things.

2020 was too soon, as I hadn't even intended to start a full fledged business. 2021, my marriage had just ended a week before the start of my busy season and I was not in a state of being able to focus on craft shows. 2022 I had just moved into my own place and was still settling in, and 2023 I honestly was just not in the organized head space to plan ahead. But it's 2024, and I'm heading into my 5th holiday season and I'm ready to get out there in the community FINALLY!!

It's a little milestone and I'm so proud. 🥹

3 years since I baked and decorated my first cake ever, quite literally EVER in my entire life. LITERALLY. And here I am 3 years later with a successful bakery and nearly 300 cakes under my belt. 🥰🥳🙌

I've been eyeballing a 'CakeSafe' for quite a minute, and with 2 very large orders with large 3 tier cakes each being delivered more than an hour and a half away to their wedding destinations I finally bit the bullet and invested in one! Super excited to finally have one in my possession to protect all my future delivery orders! 🥳

If you didn't know, a cakesafe is an insulated box with special materials, that can be boxed for hours and stay chilled with a metal dowel that inserts straight through the cake to prevent shifting and can be rocked around tipped etc, with no damage to the cake. I feel good about this purchase. 😊

Sharing ALL the angles of this 'Fairy Garden' themed cake because there's too many details NOT to!

Created for a Fairy garden connoisseur's big 80th birthday. I was told that she's always been a huge garden club lady, that she has a big garden oasis in her yard with a waterfall and mini pond and that she's won hundreds of awards over the years.

I was asked to make it look as real as possible, and I believe through the feedback I got after the party, that I hit it out of the ballpark. 🩷
