So, I have been doing some thinking that its time to get to know more about me and what I am about. I introduced myself last week and a start of how my business started as a glimmer in my brain. This week, we get into what I have learned through the years that allowed me to become the equine bodyworker that I am. I have learned much through my school as well as many years of hands on caring for the beautiful animals that have helped me through so much of my life.
I have ridden, cared for and owned many horses. They have varied from the QH that was a great lesson horse to the trotter that was switched from another employee to me because they didn't get along. From boarding facilities to racehorse stables, my horse experience is vast. Shoot, I even worked for a popular show jumping trainer! (RIP)
On my website, I explain about how I have always just known that there is something off about a horse. It can be slight lameness or something hurting them in other areas. In my new adventure, I am working towards an even more holistic way of helping them and in turn, helping myself. More of that to come.......

Welcome | Florida | Intuition Equine My name is Lisa Dutton and I've always seemed to know when something was hurting with a horse. This was especially true with horses that I have cared for. For that reason, I knew that I wanted to help alleviate horse's pain in some way - through equine massage.

Gaining more knowledge in order to help horses with a deeper connection. Understanding the way the skeletal system actually works and carries the horse alone, versus the way it works while carrying a rider is incredible. We can learn so much from the equine athlete from the way they think and the way they communicate. I, for one, am very excited to be on this path and look forward to bringing about change with more horses.

Enjoy the goofiness in life. There really isn't enough of it, so we need to laugh when we can.

Hi, my name is Lisa Dutton. I am a CESMT, mother of 2 girls as well as a grandmother of one amazing little girl and wife of my high school sweetheart. After loving horses for as long as I can remember, I decided I wanted to help them somehow. I had seen a ton of injuries, had seen horses during a bout of colic and knew that some horses were just uncomfortable in their bodies. It wasn't until after I did some gentle rubbing on a 2 yr old trotting mare that a friend of mine raced did I figure out that massage was what I wanted to learn. I literally rubbed on her and did some tail stretches. After that, we took her on the track and took 3 seconds off her time!! I was floored!!

It took me a long time to decide which course to take and finally enrolled with MNHA. This course, which I completed online, was extremely in depth for being online. It was not just about the moves that you do to what muscle. I learned anatomy, some saddle fit (and placement), horse and rider biomechanics, hoof/dental health among so much more. I finally began to understand the WHY behind the discomfort that I had always seen. Through numerous videos, retakes of videos and studying for what seemed forever, I finally achieved my certificate on my father's birthday!! (February 14, 2022) Getting that paper in the mail felt so good and I couldn't wait to start helping horses.
