Do you have an odd number of locs and don’t know how to combine it for your two strand twist style?

Try this!

Step 1: With the 3 locs… place the 2 locs furthest to the left together, keep the Loc on the right by itself.

Step 2: Cross the right single loc over the 2 left locs. (As you would with a twist only using 2 locs)

Step 3: Twist the locs with each rotation as you create the Two-Strand Twist. (Repeat this step until you’ve reached the end of the locs)

Step 4: Fold the end of the twist up and secure with a rubber band.

Now you have the perfect two strand twist using three locs.

What are microlocs? Microlocs are basically extra tiny traditional locs that are smaller than the size of a pencil. They are installed by a Loctician either using the braiding, two-strand twist, or the interlocking method.

Loc retwist using the Loc Smithing technique! Loc smithing is a form of palm rolling. This technique primarily uses the thumbs to twist all loose hair back around the shaft of the Loc to create a more solid cylinder shaped locs. Loc smithing is great for minimizing the frizz of a Loc✨

Loc extensions repair, retwist & style✨ (extensions were installed by different stylist) This transfer client came in to have some maintenance done to correct the IMPROPER installation of her Loc extensions. As seen in the video, this can be corrected by using the crochet method to fully attach the Loc extension to a client’s natural hair. The crochet method allows the Loctician to manually intertwine the hair of the Loc extension and the clients natural hair. When this is done correctly it allows your Loc extensions to look the most cohesive and natural!
