Do you know what Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is? It's a chronic skin condition that causes painful, inflamed bumps to develop in areas where the skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, and under the breasts. The bumps often break open and drain pus or other fluids. The exact cause of HS is not known, but it is thought to be related to the hair follicles and sweat glands in the affected areas.
Although there are several studies being conducted on HS, including studies on its causes, risk factors, and treatment options, Dr. Seth Forman, Founder and Principal Investigator of our clinic is a specialist in this condition, and has been actively engaged in clinical research to find new potential treatments for it.
