My Current Bands:

Friends of Fil - Jazz, Jazz Fusion and Original Music plus instrumental covers played Funky! We have an album out with our Organ Trio with Original Music by myself and Casey Otto. We have a new album on the way as we prepare to record more Original music this Summer featuring our drummer, Albert Newbeat Warren!

We also play Jazz shows and festivals and I often play select shows with Bass and Drums as a standards Jazz Trio along with or Organ Jazz sound. I play electric guitar and… hopefully soon… a Jazz guitar for these performances.

Fil Pate Trio - Bluegrass, Newgrass and more from the Acoustic Music Universe featuring my mandolin and acoustic guitar playing and the area’s best acoustic and Bluegrass players. Regularly, I play with Jeff Jones and Rob Williams and will be working on Originals as well as our arrangements of traditional tunes and progressive Acoustic music! I also include lots of friends and local Bluegrass musicians along with my students as we perform regularly around the Bay!

Filoops- I play acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Bass Guitar and light percussion to create a full band sound on Original music and covers of all types! From Pop to Jazz there is a little something for everyone! I play chill Brunch sets and energetic weekend night sets regularly and all types of events in between!

Boxcar Hollow and Matt Weis - I sit in regularly with the full band and play with Matt as a duo very often including our Ferry Jams aboard the Eggmont Key Ferry boat!

Rich Whiteley and the Primitive Campers - We perform as often as we can with the full band, trio and as a duo!

Rich has many great Originals and we have an album out on all platforms called “Live at the Hideaway Cafe”

I just wanted to put this out there for everyone to know which project is which! 😎

Lots of rehearsals and practice time behind the scenes goes into bringing you Music that stays Fresh and Fun for us all, year after year!

The best Tampa Bay instrumental bands to listen to right now Soft Cuff keyboard player Christina Sanchez recently described why instrumental music appeals to her as a musician and listener.

Tonight we are happy to return to Sparkman Wharf in Channelside Tampa for an evening of Grooves and Musical explorations with Friends of Fil Organ Trio!!

This concert is brought to us by Gasparilla Music Festival and Foundation and we are proud support all their year long efforts to bring Music to Tampa venues and communities!

The concert is 6-10pm and there is ample room to dance and let yourself Groove out on the lawn!

~~We have a Summer Road Trip announcement Y'all!~~

Friends of Fil Organ Trio is headed up to the Atlanta area for a weekend of house jams, Friends Hanging and a concert at the Moonshadow Tavern in Tucker!

The show will be on Monday evening July 29th and we hope to round up our long time friends and family and have us a get down all weekend!

We're binging our Original music along with our Jazz, Jazz Fusion and Fun Cover sound to town for our Georgia peeps!!

We can't wait to see what all we can get into on this trip!
