What's that you see? A new roof on one of our Journey Homes! These homes provide affordable, stable, sober living for men in our community who are facing housing insecurity. We are thankful for community partners like Robinson Roofing & Restoration for their incredible generosity and support through the donation of this roof. If you need a roof, we know a guy!

Dogs and sammies? Yes, please! We are so thankful for generous donors like Portillo's providing a delicious meal for our men to enjoy!! Our Tuesday night bible study had a strong start with dinner like this! Each Tuesday we feed 20 - 25 men dinner, and then they dive in to scripture together. We had a great morning putting in work with a team from Radiant Church for their annual Serve Day! The Radiant family has been an amazing local church partner for our work. We are so thankful for their incredibly generous support and honored to serve in the community alongside them!

We're wishing all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day! In recovery, Father's Day can often feel complicated. It may be a reminder of past pain, relationships that have not been reconciled, and grief. But today, we are celebrating each man who has made the choice to get sober and heal in an effort of faith to be the father that God has designed them to be!

After 10 years of feeding 14 men 3 meals a day, our kitchen was... struggling. Last month, we were blessed by our friends at 100 Shares Tampa Bay with a grant to improve this space! Our goal was to create a space that was durable, easy to maintain and keep clean, and continue to nourish the men we serve! What do you think? April has been a big month for us! First, we hosted our 2nd Annual Stories of Hope event to a packed house! We loved sharing stories from our men to offer hope to all! While enjoying some amazing samples for so many local food vendors!

And today, we were blessed by the partners of 100 Shares Tampa Bay with a grant to renovate our kitchen and innovate our Work Therapy model. These funds will also help us provide licensed mental health care to our men through community partners.

We truly would not be able to do what we do without the volunteers, advocates, and partners in the community. We are full of gratitude for each of you!

Last week, we joined together with our men, board members, and their families for an end of year celebration! It was an incredible opportunity to remember and honor all of the work that God has done in the lives of our men in 2023. We are ending the year grateful for a fruitful season and entering 2024 with anticipation and inspiration!

What does Work Therapy look like? Today, one crew is pouring concrete! Our business partner, Marrs Contracting LLC has the crew hard at work and learning new skills! Work Therapy is an important part of recovery. We are thankful for our partnerships with businesses within the community who make an eternal impact training and equipping our men.

Restored Purpose - Timothy Initiative

📣 September is National Recovery Month.📣 While the statistics surrounding addiction, mental health, and homelessness can feel hopeless - this month we are celebrating RECOVERY. Watching a man's journey from rock bottom to healing is always something to celebrate! Our upcoming event, Restored Purpose, is a great opportunity to learn more about what we do and celebrate the power of community and Jesus to heal! Whew! What a whirlwind! Last weekend, we had the opportunity to take a weekend retreat as a community. 23 men gatherered together to learn, grow in relationship with each other, be sharpened through scripture, enjoy some canoeing, and team building (salsa and guacamole, anyone?). It was an incredible blessing of time together - and 8 of our men chose to follow the Lord in water baptism. Leaving their old selves in the water and walking forward as new men in Christ! A huge thank you to our donors and partners for making this happen - and to Jimbos Pit BBQ in Lakeland for their incredibly generous meal provided!

Our men were happy to jump in and serve our church community at The Resting Place by helping set up for KidsCon this week!!

We love seeing our men grow in the faith and with that comes giving back! Our brother Tad giving back to our TRP family by playing on the praise and worship team 🎸🎵🎛️

We loved being able to send out one of our work crews this week to serve a local church, The Oasis of Tampa Bay. After a notice from the city of repairs needed, several local businesses came together, and we loved partnering to complete the work!!
