There's nothing like having natural light show off your cake. It's the equivalent of waiting for the Golden Hour to take pictures outdoors. They just come out beautifully.

Sometimes, people can't wait to see a picture of the cake, but most of the time, I'm baking/decorating during evening times. It is peaceful, and I can get in The Zone easiest. So, I wait until the next day to take pictures of the cake.

The last picture was my inspiration picture... I love orchids, and this one gave me Bonfire Warmth vives.

There are times I get to do what I love in beautiful places.

I am thankful I get to be part of creations like these and that sometimes I get to collaborate with others.

Are you also a fresh flowers kind-of-person? I think you know my answer to that question.
I personally like to prep them with either a vegan edible wax or white chocolate. The cake is protected either way, and it doesn't change the flavor of the cake.

You see... Our lives are continually and cyclically impacting, and simultaneously being impacted by, those around us. Like wind, we can lift each other into new opportunities, we can guide those around us. Like water, we can soothe and refresh. Like stone, we can protect, we can build, we can give shelter. Together with the elements of the natural world, we are constantly transforming and being transformed.

Which of the elements do you feel yourself being shaped by?

There are many brides that prefer fresh florals to sugar flowers. Make sure that when you request fresh florals that the stems are protected so the cake doesn't get contaminated, nor is there a change in flavor to the cake. Symmetry in a cake is key. I remember getting these flowers and thinking... they are too closed up, so, without any fear, I forced those petals open, and here you have it!

There are so many factors to consider. There are no simple cakes in the world of custom cakes. We usually take two days minimum to create your desired cake. Know that things needs to be ordered ahead of time and that if you want the best quote, pacing the order ahead of time will help.

I love the creative side of making cakes and other sweets.

The best way to order a cake is to share a few little things that describe the guest of honor - the recipient. It can be her personality trait, favorite color, what the person loves or enjoys doing, etc...

Of course, we always try to go with flavors we love, but overall, people tend to order flavors that most people like and enjoy.

It's been a while since I painted on a cake. I LOVE this part, the creative part. It all starts with creating custom colors. The key ingredient to a sucessfully fulfilled cake? Patience... lots of patience and good time management skills 🙂
