Ever want to time travel? 🚀 Good! Because our new Tampa Through Time Portal is ready to transport you back in time. It is a no-cost, interactive resource that merges archives, digital tools, and advanced mapping to allow users to immerse themselves “beyond the page” and deeper into the city’s rich history. Visitors to the site can also experience history through multi-faceted walking trails around the Tampa Bay area. These currently include a USF Greenways tour (featured in this post – isn’t it lovely?), a walking tour of Tampa’s famed cigar factories, and a “Then and Now” of Ybor City dwellings. We’re so excited to be the new home of the USF Herbarium, one of the largest herbaria in the United States and the second largest in Florida. 🍃 The USF Herbarium is known for its rich collection of vascular plants, algae, bryophytes, and lichens. 🌟GREAT NEWS: Burro has gone home!!🌟 If you follow us, you know how much we love animal rescue stories and Burro’s tops our list. You may have heard about him last year when @usfmarinescience student, Kierstyn Benjamin, went to the library to study and ended up saving his life!
