I am a licensed esthetician and have been in the beauty world for about 15 years. I am very well-versed in how to care for skin, especially my own skin. I have a hormonal imbalance and occasionally struggle with adult acne, but for the most part my skin is calm. A few months ago, I had some issues with my body that happen from time to time (ovarian cyst ruptured) and my skin really freaked out. I haven’t had acne this bad since I was a teenager, and worse, NOTHING was helping. I had to completely stop any form of exfoliation, including dermaplaning and my beloved AHA/BHA peels. I used a very minimal, mild skin regimen for about three months, but my skin just kept getting worse. A little over a week ago, I was sent the Barrier Buddies Lightweights Set to review. It has been a game changer. I have tried “Barrier repairing products” many times in the past including the products I was using the last three months with no luck. Sometimes they made my skin more angry and inflamed. This kit has really helped my skin. It is significantly less angry and red, the acne is quickly healing up, and my skin just feels healthier. I plan to try the heavy hitters one for nighttime. Thank you and . These products are incredible!!

💄Hair and Makeup Services by Me!!

Hot days ahead call for lightweight, glowy skin.

Here are a few of my favorite products to achieve the glow without the grease:

1. Anything - I LOVE the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream for a lightweight but ultra nourishing body lotion. This is the only lotion that gives me excellent nourishment without making me greasy. Try the Rio Radiance Illuminating Body Cream or Glowmotions Glow Body Oil for extra glow, especially before a special event like a wedding.

2. Body Sauce Body Luminizing Tint to give a beautiful, tinted, Hollywood glow available in wide variety of shades for all skin tones. I love that it is humidity, sweat, and transfer resistant. This is also great for special events.

3. The Body Lotion is one of my favorite lightweight moisturizers if you need the most ultra-lightweight moisturizer. I never feel greasy with this lotion. Also, lait crème fluid is probably the most lightweight body lotion I’ve ever used. It’s a makeup artist favorite.

Happy June! As the weather is getting hotter, I wanted to share a few of my favorite humidity-proof foundations. Real recommendations from a makeup artist.

These are the only three I keep in my kit.

Airbrush Flawless Foundation is my go-to. It gives a beautiful medium coverage and it has held up the best in humidity since I’ve been in Florida. It also adds a beautiful, natural glow to the skin.

ultra Foundation Pro is beautiful for both indoor and outdoor. It is also an oil free, silicone based formula that is perfect for more mature skin type. This is a top favorite amongst makeup artists.

MAC Conceal and Correct Palette is my absolutely favorite for correcting. I like to mix both the cool and warm tones to make my correct shade for concealer. I use darker shades for a natural contour and lighter shades for a natural highlight. I use the correcting shades for under eye brightening and correcting. Highly recommend this product!

Honorable mention to ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint. THIS IS MY FAVORITE. I don’t use it on clients because it’s usually too dewy but I use it on myself daily to even out my skin tone and give a healthy glow. It gives a perfect level of coverage. I do usually have to use a light layer of setting powder but I just love how this looks and feels. This would an amazing product for drier skin type and in the winter/colder climates.
