Finished another baby blanket for our local pregnancy center.
A new finished project. A baby blanket for our local pregnancy center.
Latest finished project. A wall hanging for a friend at church.
Haven’t been able to post in a few days due to a crazy, busy schedule, but I’m working on my next project. This is a baby blanket for a local pregnancy center. The main body of the blanket is the blue twist color that is shown in the picture. The edge will be cream. I will post another picture when it’s finished.
All finished! First attempt at crocheting a rug is a success!
Starting my first attempt at crocheting a rug today.
Finished a custom order of dishcloths for a friend last night. She requested that they be done in my favorite colors.
All finished! This will be given to my pastor’s wife as soon as I can get it to her.
I haven’t posted in a while, which hasn’t been my intention, but sometimes life gets crazy. Meanwhile, I have been making progress on my next wrap/prayer shawl. This will be a gift for my pastor’s wife, as she will be having surgery for cancer sometime this week. She loves earth tones, and I wanted to do a lighter weight for summer, so I’m using baby yarn for this one.
It’s not the best lighting, but the turquoise blue wrap for my friend is finished. I love checking projects off my list.
Making progress on my next project. This is a wrap/prayer shawl for a friend at church.
Finished with Baby Blanket #2. This one will also be donated to a local pregnancy center.
Making progress on my next baby blanket. This one will have gradient stripes of coral.
Finished the baby blanket I have been working on. This will be donated to a local pregnancy center.
Making progress on a baby blanket for our local pregnancy center. When it’s finished, it will be gradient stripes of gray.
Finished a prayer shawl for a friend this afternoon. Her favorite color is purple, so this yarn makes gradient stripes of purple when I work with it.
I finished these projects yesterday, but couldn’t post them until today since one of them was a gift, and I didn’t want to give any surprises away. I have been dabbling in painting and stenciling. I’m not sure if this will translate into new products or if I will save the painting and stenciling for gifts. The first picture is a box of crocheted washcloths for my bathroom. Sea and beach colors are the color theme. The second picture is a tray or wall hanging for my sister. It was her birthday gift for this year.
I’ve been steadily working on catching up on personal projects, since moving to a different state 6 months ago. These two pics are some dishcloths I finished for wedding presents over the weekend.
Finished this prayer shawl/wrap for a friend last night. It’s been in the making for a while, so it feels really good to have it completed.
The scrunchie project is done! Yahoo!
This small stack of fabric strips is all that is left of my huge scrunchie project. By the time I am done, I will most likely have made somewhere over 500 scrunchies. Most of them either have been or will be donated to a couple ministries at church. Others will be given as gifts to friends and coworkers. The most fun part of this project is coming, and that will be giving them to the people they are intended to go to. I’m so excited to finish this and get to that fun part!
I’m making progress on the big scrunchie project I have been working on. The picture below is the last of the random leftover fabric strips I am using to make them. There is one stack of strips not pictured, because it’s waiting by my sewing machine. When I get done, I’ll post some pictures of the completed scrunchies. Right now, it’s time for a break.
These are fabric strips, cut and pinned, and ready to make hair scrunchies. They are sorted according to what color of thread I need to use to sew them. I’ve been making these scrunchies for several friends and for a donations to a couple ministries. This has become a big project, actually far bigger than I was originally planning on. However, the project will make several people smile and that’s what is important. Because this project has become so big, there have been days when I have needed to take a break. My goal is to finish all of these scrunchies by the end of March. Sorry for the lack of updates, but this is what I have been working on for most of the last couple months.
A wall hanging made for a friend at church. I am not artistic, so I really hope she likes it.
Just finished this baby blanket as part of a baby gift for someone at church. Can’t wait to surprise them tomorrow.
Life has been crazy busy lately, and pinning is NOT my favorite thing to do when I need to sew something. Since it is absolutely necessary, I tend to pin everything at once when I need to sew, just so I can get it done. This picture is a basket full of fabric strips for hair scrunchies. Some will be donated to church for a kids program, some will be given to various people for gifts, and some will be for me, just because I need more. On top is a set of baby blankets and burp cloths for a couple at church. My sewing machine and I will be busy.
What’s everyone else working on?
Working on catching up on some personal projects today. After these are caught up, I’ll be ready to work on some new things for this page. Hang in there, fans! New things are coming!
Merry Christmas to all my fans, customers and supporters! Thanks for hanging in thefe with me during what has been challenging year. Hopefully, I’ll have lots of new things coming in 2024.
Finished this wrap for a friend the other day. More completed project pics coming as I get them done.
I am so sorry for the lack of updates and posts. It has not been my intention to go so long without posting, but life has been extremely busy as I also work part time retail. In addition to that, I have had a cold for almost 3 weeks, and have at times had no energy. I’m getting better now, and will be posting new pictures of completed projects soon.
