Eastside High had two students celebrated at the Ace Awards (Advocates for Character and Education) this evening. The ACE Awards recognizes students who are considered “Unsung Heroes” within the district. These students have exhibited strong character and educational achievement and were nominated by counselors and staff at their school. Greenville High hosted our Personal Finance students for the Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina. Student were given the opportunity to transition through a simulation on adulthood, learning to manage their finances on a budget.

Senior who want to participate in the Senior Walk Out at their previous Elementary School, please have your senior check their senior google classroom for dates and times. You can also call the individual elementary school to find out details.

2024 King Legacy HBCU Fair
The 2024 King Legacy HBCU Fair will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 2:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m., at Fluor Field, 935 South Main St. Greenville, S.C. The 2024 King Legacy Fair is hosted by the Greenville Drive Minor League Baseball Team in honor of Jackie Robinson Day, and sponsored by Rainbow PUSH Coalition and NCNW (National Council of Negro Women). Counselors, students, and parents are invited to participate in the 2024 King Legacy HBCU Fair and to stay for the Jackie Robinson Day baseball game immediately following the 2024 King Legacy HBCU Fair. This is the ninth consecutive King Legacy HBCU Fair, and we hope to make it our best.

Representatives from 20 or more Historically Black Colleges and Universities from around the country will be present to provide information, and accept applications for admission and financial aid onsite. Seniors who want to be considered for onsite admission should bring their transcripts. Entertainment will be provided by an HBCU Band, and Jackie Robinson Day baseball game. Admission to the King Legacy HBCU Fair is free to the public. The Jackie Robinson Day baseball game and meal vouchers are complimentary to all King Legacy HBCU Fair participants.

2024 King Legacy HBCU Fair Celebrate Jackie Robinson Day with the Greenville Drive and some of the top Historically Black Colleges and HBCUs in the country!

I am excited to announce that EASTSIDE HIGH Schools will be co-hosting a free in-person workshop with The College Funding Coach® on November 9th. This event is for any family wanting to learn how to pay for college (designed for families with students in grades K – 12).

The College Funding Coach® was founded in 2002 to help families better understand the complexities of paying for college and how to make higher education more affordable. Since that time, The College Funding Coach® team has been on a mission to help families save on the high cost of higher education. They have established an approach that helps parents understand the college funding process, reduce their out-of-pocket expenses, and balance the challenge of saving for college and retirement simultaneously.
