Welcome Back from Mt. Everest Adam! Here is an update on his climb.
Mt Everest was a beautiful place and a hard challenge. I didn't make it all the way to the top, I made it to 24,500 ft at the top of the Lhotse face or just under the yellow band. Quite a few things happened that day and after going 5 hours with another 4 or so to go I had 0 energy and made the decision to go down. Many people ask me if I will try again and my answer is yes if I can afford it. The expedition was 2 months long starting with a helicopter dropping us off in Lukla. It took 14 days to hike up to base camp. I climbed Lobuche a 20,000 ft mountain on the way. Then at base camp we do rotations up the mountain to acclimate.These rotations you pass through the Khumbu Icefall which is the most dangerous part of the mountain 3 times up and 3 times down. This year the route was the longest its ever been taking us 10 hours the first time. Theres no safe space to stop and take long rests here and you have to eat and drink very quickly on the go and do your best to keep your water from freezing. Being in shape and having the mentality to take care of yourself up there is key. Thanks to the gym for keeping a clean, updated place to train.

Frozen veggies from your local food store are budget friendly and healthy! Frozen veggies are picked fresh and then flash frozen to maintain nutrients. They easily heat in the microwave and can be added to any dish.
For example; If you have chicken breast cooked, add rice, a mixed veggie asian stir-fry medly, and some soy sauce... BAM! You've got a delicious and healthy meal.

Are you getting enough sleep? Too little sleep can lead to poor nutrition choices, like that large iced coffee, or high fatty foods, it also triggers a cortisol spike, the stress hormone to conserve energy which means more apt to hang onto fat. Bottom line, put your phones down and try to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep!
A big factor to weight loss is to ensure you are eating enough!!

A good way to ensure you start your day off right is with breakfast. You are coming off of a fast from sleeping so start the day off right by giving your body what it needs to have a great day.
