What is Mustard algae? Under certain conditions, algae will quickly bloom, seemingly overnight. These conditions include warm temperatures, the presence of carbon dioxide or nitrates, out-of-balance water and warm sunny days.

Clean your filters! After months and possibly years for some pools….. make sure your pool guy or you clean your filters. Maybe ask for a pic of your filters after they’ve been cleaned. We feel like many pool guys might not actually clean the filters you have paid them to clean. It’s hard to imagine a healthy and clean pool as the water is pumping through filthy filters like this one on the left.
