A partial shot of a WIP, a calf I just couldn’t resist. 10x20 linen on panel.
Cimarron’s Wind Dreads, a painting from a couple years back, I never properly posted this beautiful, wild fella. I love how perfectly imperfect wild horses are.
This is Ricky, my daughters mini-donkey. He and Lucy 'stampede' me for their brush sessions every daily. 🧡 this mini painting is 9x13 oil on linen. More info on my website.
Tres Toros, has been in the works for a while. I completed the composite painting a while back and it was time to circle back. Oil on linen panel, 16x20, framed. I rarely get to say this but I’m happy with the painting. I may take it even larger.
This is my last completed painting for 2023. Topaz Palomino, 16x20 oil on linen. Happy New Year friends 🧡

The process. From photo to compositions, to color studies. Where problem solving and decisions are made. This actually makes the final painting so much easier.
Delighted to be a part of this show at Monty Robert's Flag Is Up Farm. September '23
On the easel, this rascal is being so cooperative. Some paintings flow so much easier than others. 16x20 oil on linen. I captured this image near Colson, CA This little one was so irresible, I took many, many photographs.
Still miss this fella. Picasso band stallion of Sandwash Basin, CO. He didn’t reappear the spring of 2020. He was frequently photographed with his foals, and had many beauties over the years. Breyer even made his likeness.
Part of a large painting I'm brining to finish. 24x36 oil on linen board.
