Israel: The Beginning - As we feel God's calling in our life sometimes we try to complete it in our time, not HIs. The scriptures show us that sometimes it takes generations to fulfill this calling, but the constant throughout all of this is the continued following of God. The continued faith that God is true to His Word. We will hear this week of a calling that took three generations to set up the twelve tribes of Israel, with continued faith being shown throughout. So come out and join us as we take a trip through the Book of Genesis. Pastor Mario's message this week leads us through Genesis 11-49.

He is Risen, Now What - As a Christian we are supposed to be spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ commanded us to take His Word to all nations, not just the ones we like. So no matter what spiritual gift the Lord has given you, use it and allow the Lord to work through you. As we start our day we need to ask God to use us to bring glory to His Kingdom even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone. Pastor Mario.

Used for a Season - Sometimes we ponder why God isn't using us like they are my other Brother or Sister in Christ, and then He calls on us all according to His plan . . . God uses us for specific purpose, like Jonah, and Joseph of Arimathea, they were used by God for a season. Be prepared for that season in our life, and when it comes, step out of the boat. So You Think You Have it Bad - Our walk with God will not always be beautiful sunrises, we will have days of extremely bad weather. We know in those times God is with us, and we have a greater hope waiting for us. We may even ask God "where are You, why aren't You here", but He is right beside you where He always was, and will be. Stay Close to Jesus - When we distance ourselves from God, the enemy will use a crack in our faith, and will start to widen it more and more until we either notice it, repent and turn back to God, or continue distancing ourselves from Him. We know we are not perfect, so when we do start down a path away for Him, God is so loving, and full of grace that He will forgive us and what we show as true repentance. So join us this Sunday to hear about a man God uses, even after denying Him, as the rock of His church, and be encouraged knowing that God's plan for us is always the best no matter what. The Toughest of Times - There will be times in our walk that people will attack our beliefs with a bunch of nonsense. That is the time to draw even closer to Him for guidance not to fall away to a safe distance. The war has been won, but battles continue. Today was Communion and Baptism Sunday at The Barn on the property of Shaun & Alisa Roberts in beautiful wine country! In the words of Pastor Mario: "We get to remember Him by celebrating communion, and then we are blessed to have a baptism after the message. These two acts are what He calls us to do . . . a personal outward profession of faith. Thank you for joining VCF today as we witness an outward profession of faith."

Baptism is a personal identification with the greatest act of human history . . . the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our blessings and prayers are with these believers as they are baptized today and commit their lives to Christ. **Lola and Vander baptized August 4, 2024. **

On Saturday, July 13th, Vines Christian Fellowship joined over 200 volunteers! A feel-good day volunteering for Homes for Our Troops landscaping a specially adapted home for a wounded Navy Veteran, HM3 Max Rohn. HFOT cares so deeply for all veterans, specially for those who have paid a physical sacrifice. The blessing is that these homes are mortgage-free. God bless our men and women who have worn the uniform.
