Mama Circle Midwifery
I am a home birth midwife offering respect and loving service to my clients.
The Virtual Village is *free* and serves the mission of 4th Trimester AZ by bringing families as well as maternal health professionals together, to explore important topics affecting prenatal and postpartum families, including postpartum mood disorders, changing relationship & family dynamics, healthy boundary-setting, postpartum nutrition, breastfeeding, s*x & intimacy, physical health of the mother following birth, and so much more.
For our July gathering, we’ll be exploring options to support postpartum parents with healing ceremonies, including Seven Sisters, Belly Binding, Yoni Steams, and more!
Whether you are a professional serving parents, or a pregnant person or postpartum person interested in getting accurate information to support yourself & your family, this is a topic you don’t want to miss. We hope to see you there!
The amazing Princess from will be teaching about Belly Binding; An incredibly knowledgeable midwife, Mary, from will teach us about herbal yoni steams, and a fantastic local doula, placenta Encapsulator & childbirth educator, Caitlyn, from will teach us about “Placenta Readings.” This promises to be a lovely discussion, where we’ll all be inspired & learn something new!

Birthkeepers & Mamas! ❤️
We had such a lovely time, together, at our Summer Reiki Share.
Let's join together, as a community, to celebrate the Fall 🍂🎃season and take good care of one another, as mothers.
Birthkeeper sisters, save the date! 🙌🏼
As keepers of supported birth, we are care providers who hold massive space on the regular, have unpredictable sleep schedules, witness the most beautiful triumphs, and sometimes, the most heartbreaking outcomes. We give big, and yet, for many of us, we haven’t yet created an ongoing system to receive.
As we replenish our cups, we have the ability to sustain this sacred work, and to show up at our best, not only for our clients, but also for our own families, and for ourselves.
You are invited to join the amazing Reiki practitioner & Doula Caitlyn Martens and myself for a nourishing self-care circle, especially for Birthkeepers.
We’ll enjoy networking, sister circle time, a relaxing meditation, and Reiki. All of this is designed to fill our cups and support us in deepening our collective sisterhood of birthkeepers, here in the Valley.
Space is limited to 12, so reach out, if you know for sure you’d like to come!
All my love,
Jen❤️🐺

Happy International Homebirth Day! ❤️👶🏽🏡
In addition ti holding space for badass birthing mamas, as a homebirth midwife, since 2011, I’m a home birthin’ mama, myself! ❤️
I share these photos, today, to illustrate the simple sacredness of birthing at home, and also the freedom!
Eight support people? Awesome! Singing bowls while I push? Yes! Catch my own baby? Fo’ sho’! Teenage son in the other room playing video games? Cool! Cord attached till two hours after birth? Of course!
And then sleeping in my own bed, afterwards… priceless!
You know, even if a transfer is necessary, the freedom and empowerment from homebirth midwife prenatal care makes all the difference!
I am grateful to have experienced this, and grateful to get to provide support to other mamas, to do the same, through my work at & .
Thank you for being by my side, and reminding me of my badassery, on that magical day!
Love,
Jen🐺❤️

Mama, have you been craving connection with nature on a deeper level?
Perhaps it’s time to get away for a bit…
I am excited to share that I will be cofacilitating an immersive and transformational retreat with a powerful & wise Modern-Day Medicine Woman,
in late April. 🌱
In sisterhood, in the forests of Payson, just as it's getting hot in the Valley, you are invited to a weekend getaway where we will enjoy both western and indigenous plant medicine experiences.
🌿We'll be connecting with nature, eating a picnic lunch in the cool breeze, at Horton creek, and embarking on a transformative Medicine Walk.
🌸We'll be crafting a healing salve made from Juniper berries we gather ourselves as well as lavender from the local lavender farm that we'll visit together.
🌳We'll be in the forest together, digging our hands in the Arizona dirt, for quartz crystals.
🕯️ We'll be enjoying an herbal bath bar, and a candlelit bath, all to ourselves.
🥘We'll be using food as medicine, enjoying delicious meals prepared together and by our hosts.
🌲 We'll craft Juniper smoke bundles, to bring this retreat energy home, and to cleanse our living space.
⭕️We’ll be setting sacred intentions, wrapping traditional to***co bundle offerings.
🔥 And, we'll be learning about and enjoying plants as medicine, for our minds, bodies, and spirits, around the fire.
✨This affordable and intimate retreat is for 10 ladies. We can't wait to gather with you!
⚡️Leave a ❤️ here, if this speaks to you, or feel free to DM with questions!
All the details are on the website!

It's time for quarterly holding space event!
Come join in an online circle, with Jennifer Hoeprich, mothers’ circle facilitator, meditation teacher, hypnotherapist, and homebirth midwife, as she guides us in “holding space" for one another.
So, what does it mean to "hold space?"
Holding space means to be with someone, intentionally, actively listening to them and seeing them as capable, whole, and complete, exactly as they are, without judgment.
We'll do this in circle and also have some private paired shares with other moms.
This type of interaction allows us to truly feel seen and heard, which we all need!
This Village, our theme is "The Holidays." We'll have space held for us to share what we're looking forward to, and what we're not looking forward to, what's easy, and what's hard, and also have time to brainstorm together, about how we can take good care of ourselves, during the holiday season ahead.
So, what is "active listening?" Actively listening means to *just* listen to the person speaking... not trying to fix, not formulating a response, not trying to discover how what is being said relates to your own life. Just being fully present in the moment and listening. We very rarely get to give or receive this, as parents in the 4th Trimester.
This practice is perfect for beginners and those with a lifetime of experience in active listening. All are welcomed!
Register with the link provided to join us for this event and all East Valley Village monthly gatherings, for free!

So, what is “active listening?” And what does it mean to "hold space?"
-Active listening means to *just* listen to the person speaking... not trying to fix, not formulating a response, not trying to discover how what is being said relates to your own life. Just being fully present in the moment and listening.
-Holding space means to be with someone, intentionally, actively listening to them and seeing them as capable, whole, and complete, exactly as they are, without judgment.
This type of interaction allows the person sharing to truly feel seen and heard, which is an experience they may not have in any other area of their lives. You only get to do this whole baby having journey a limited amount of times. Not all midwives, not all OBGYNS, not all hospitals are created equal.
We’re so lucky in the Phoenix metro area to have amazing OBGYNS, Midwives in hospitals, birth centers and home that will always provide evidence based and family centered care. You deserve it- your experience matters.
🤷🏼♀️Feeling like you’re not heard when you express concerns- switch.
🤷🏿♀️Feeling like your appointments are rushed - switch.
🤷🏽♀️Feeling like you’re being mislead?- switch.
🤷🏻♀️Not loving the options you’re being given?- switch.
This is the first step in your parenting journey- you have the power to make your decisions collaboratively with your team. Let that mama bear instinct kick in and take control. You’re gonna rock it. 💫
