Queen Anne's Lace aka Daucus Carota: This plant grew wild everywhere in the Ozarks when I lived there as a girl. I was always drawn to it, playing with it and picking it for my grandmother.- Who would have knew that I would come to study this plant and its medicinal properties. Thank you Dr. Bhatt ND for bringing this plant back to me as a gift of reflection🌼

A comforting herbal bath can include a mix of your favorite herbs. Simply place them in a muslin bag or wrap them in cheesecloth, and immerse in a warm bath, or hold under a hot water stream. This simple practice transforms your bath into a healing experience, soothing the body and calming the mind.
Peppermint: More than a Seasonal Candy 🍫
Peppermint is one of the most popular herbs used today!
As cooler weather descends, people all over the globe are bombarded by peppermint; peppermint mocha, peppermint bark, candies, canes
Peppermint or Mentha x piperita is a naturally occurring hybrid of watermint (M. aquatica) and spearmint (M. spicata)
It grows wild in moist areas throughout Europe and North America
Peppermint contains volatile oils and menthol which gives a cooling sensation; this is one reason peppermint can help with indigestion after meals.
Benefits of Peppermint:
❤️🩹 Improves digestion
❤️🩹 Eases breathing
❤️🩹 Decreases muscle spasms
❤️🩹 Soothes headaches
❤️🩹 Decreases GI cramping
❤️🩹 Potential antidiarrheal
⚠️Quality Alert⚠️
Due to its high demand and increasing applications, world peppermint production is not slowing down
But the quality of peppermint on the market is DECREASING
This is due to farmers harvesting twice a season
Leading to rootstock depletion which leads to leaf production decreasing
Peppermint is SUPER easy to grow and spreads very easily, so it's best to grow in a container
Strictly Medicinal carries peppermint seeds and maybe se

Floatation Therapy 101
In the 1950s, John Lilley began the exploration of sensory deprivation for human benefit
Only NASA trainees were braving this new technology
Helmets were initially used to provide air to people who tried these vertical tanks
In the 1970s, Lilley worked with Glenn Perry to develop the horizontal pods which are used today
Floating is achieved by filling the floatation tank with Epsom salt and water to achieve buoyancy which keeps the face above water during the float session
This new tank style eliminated a lot of the claustrophobic nature of the therapy
The goal of Floatation-REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) is to reduce all sensory input. This includes various types of touch including pressure and heat, taste, hearing, seeing.
Proprioception (knowing where you are in space) and the sensation of gravity also disappear.
Studies have shown surprising health benefits including;
🫀 Less Stress
🫀 Increased relaxation
🫀 Improved sense of well-being
🫀 Reduced anxious and depressive moods
🫀 Lower blood pressure and heart rate
A float session generally takes between 45-90 minutes, and participants shower before and after the therapy
There has been a surge in popularity, so this therapy is likely located close to where you live.
A conversation with your holistic health practitioner can help you decide if a flotation tank session is right for you
🛑 Caution 🛑
People with
👇
Epilepsy
Chronic Kidney Disease
Orthostatic hypotension Should consult their doctor before floating.
