Work on the cabin restoration to resume soon.

We would like to thank the Monroe News and Bedford Now for their support of the pioneer cabin restoration project. In particular, we wish to thank reporter, Paula Wethington for her interest and continuous coverage of the project. I wish we could nominate The Bedford Now for publication of the year. We appreciate the support in getting this important project in front of the Monroe County and surrounding community. The weather is breaking and we will announce more news soon as the project goes back in to full swing.

It is with a sad heart that we share this news.
Years ago, we rescued Topaz from a slaughter pen. There was just enough life left in his eyes to ask for help and he became a member of our family. He was past his ridding years and was afforded the luxury that horses only dream of. He has roamed our property un-tethered. No fences. He is totally heard bound and never wondered from his heard. His daily routine includes a visit to the apple trees near the creek for a mid-day snack.
His days of being a pony and thinking pony thoughts at Cabin Creek are few. His legs can no longer support him without pain. Topaz is asking for our help once again and we owe it to him to spare him suffering. Topaz will forever rest near his beloved heard.
