Due to the expected severe temperatures forecasted for our region, Bedford Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. All Latchkey programs will also be closed. Please check with coaches and program coordinators regarding scheduled after school events planned for tomorrow.

Bedford Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to the combination of extreme temperatures and the forecasted additional accumulation of snow on the already very slippery side streets. The closure includes all Latchkey programs. Students should check with coaches and program coordinators regarding events scheduled for after school.

Congratulations to our Boys Golf Team! They qualified for the MHSAA Division One State Championship at Grand Valley State University on June 9th and 10th!

Bedford freshman baseball swept a doubleheader against St Francis 2-1 and 5-0.

Gavin Roytek’s walk off double in the bottom of the 5th inning sealed the victory in the first game. Kason Snyder pitched well earning the win.

Connor Orth was outstanding on the bump in the second game completing the shutout while striking out 8 and only allowing 2 hits. Gavin Roytek and Devin Rayburn both went 1-2 with singles. Bedford Public Schools

The Bedford Boys varsity golf team defeated both Monroe and Saline on Tuesday in a really cold and wet match held at Carrington Golf Course. Team Scores were: Bedford 166, Saline 181, Monroe 182
Camden Price and Taleon Guess were low scorers on the day both shooting a 39.

The Bedford Goodfellows are hosting a Mobile Food Pantry this Saturday from 10 am - Noon (or while supplies last–they have enough for 200 households) at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 8330 Lewis Ave, Temperance. Must provide ID showing Monroe County residency.

Brett McGraw hit a walk off single in the bottom of the 7th inning to win the first game. Connor Orth pitched a complete game gem only allowing 1 hit and 1 run. Major Sadowski was 2-2 with 2 singles, 1 run, 1 RBI and 1 BB. Dakota Messenger went 2-3 with 2 singles.

Due to field conditions in Monroe, today's boys lacrosse match with SMCC will be played at Bedford at 7:00 PM. Bedford Girls Soccer will play AA Huron first at 5:30.

Wiemer joins exclusive Monroe County in the Major Leagues club Bedford's Joey Wiemer became the seventh Monroe County Region player to reach Major League Baseball.
