Some hardware stores sell paint that claims you only need to apply one coat of paint, but that’s far from the truth. Speaking from experience, I would always recommend two coats of paint to ensure the best quality outcome.

Sometimes one bid is significantly lower than the others. You'll be tempted to take this bid but don't do it without thoroughly checking out the contractor. It could be that he's going to skimp on materials or cut corners that could cause you expensive troubles later.
