💗Availability Update💗

Thank you to everyone who has been asking when our shortbread mixes will be available again. As our wee business grew, we got to a size where we were required to change the way we mix and pack our ingredients. Finding a suitable space and partner to do this with has proved really challenging but we haven’t given up yet!

We are actively working on finding a long term solution to bring back our Scottish Shortbread Mixes and will start sharing information on all our channels once everything is in place.

I’m so grateful for everyone who wants to buy the products and hope to be able to serve you again soon.

It’s sweater weather, at least it is till about 10am in Texas🤪 Last week I was back in Scotland and discovered an apple tree in the garden which inspired todays bake Apple & Bramble crumble with custard. 🍁

Few people have consistently led and served on a scale seen in the life lived by Her Majesty the Queen. From a young age she promised to serve for her entire life and while some may argue that she had a life of privilege, she never once waivered from her sense of duty and servitude.

What millions of us around the world are responding to today is perhaps, quite simply, a heartfelt response and admiration for one person who kept her promise and stayed her course.

In about 4 hours my folks will touch down in Houston. It’s been 3 years since their last visit and since the kids have seen them. We can’t wait to see them and finally hug them. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✈️🇱🇷💗

Had fun this morning creating some Summer flavored Gluten Free Shortbread! A little bit of sunshine in every melt-in-your-mouth bite! ☀️🍋🍓🥥

Is it summer yet?? It feels like it here in Texas 🥵☀️Here’s a simple pudding to make that only has 4 ingredients and is perfect for those sunny days.
Strawberry fool:
2 cups cream
1 cup chopped strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbp lemon juice

Whip the cream till stiff peaks. Place nearly all the strawberries in blender( keep a few aside) with the sugar and lemon juice and blitz.
Pour the strawberry purée through a sieve then fold a couple of spoonfuls of whipped cream into strawberry mixture till blended, then add reaming cream and stir through. Place a few chopped strawberries into bottom of small dishes and too with the strawberry fool. Chill for a few hours and enjoy 😊

To celebrate Robbie Burns Day, I made some Cranachan. This famous Scottish Dessert is made with Whipped Cream, Whisky, Oatmeal, Honey and Raspberries!

All across Scotland and the wider Scottish diaspora, people will celebrate our most famous son. For those of you not sure who he was, he wrote “Auld Lang Syne” and is Scotland’s William Shakespeare (or more accurately, Shakespeare is England’s Robbie Burns!! 😜)

Tonight, Scots everywhere will eat Haggis, Neeps (turnips) and Tatties (potatoes).
