This is my favorite part of the pre listing process. The before and afters can be dramatic and make all the difference in the buyers experience of touring the home. It can be uncomfortable for sellers and the process begins with a discussion and walking through the home together.

Some first-time buyer programs might include grants, down payment or closing cost assistance, deferred payments, subsidized interest rates or loan forgiveness after a certain period of time, as well, which can further save you money.

Limewash is making a comeback as natural design continues to maintain popularity. While it looks organic and can even been done as a DIY project, you can't wipe it clean like you can with painted walls. Do you love the limewash trend or will you sit this one out?

When disaster strikes an area, homes become overcome with flood water, trees destroy home and buildings destabilize it is a time of intense stress and helplessness. Preparedness for such incidents is uncomfortable and arduous but worth the effort. Do you have home insurance? Do you know what it covers? Do you have flood insurance even if you aren’t in a high risk area? Are there trees that needs to be trimmed or removed to reduce damage risk? Do you have a contractor list for possible repairs, bids, roof replacements, debris removal? Do you have a generator, transport cages for your animals, etc. We are officially in Hurricane season and you cannot be overly prepared. Take my advice and do it now while the sun is out and our soaked ground is drying out because as we say in the south…if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes!
