My daughter Olivia Barron has been selected as an American Heart Association Teen of Impact. She is competing in this event to raise as much as she can for the battle with heart disease from now until April 4. She is so passionate about this cause because her little brother Joshua has his life saved when he was 2 months old because a congenital heart defect was caught early thanks to advances in heart health that the AHA has had a huge impact on. I would be grateful for any donations to her cause that my friends and network are provide! Thank you!

Statistics say that 70% of people suffer from gingivitis and more than 40% of people have some type of periodontal disease.

Gingivitis is REVERSIBLE!! Tissues turn over every 2 weeks, so you can easily reverse this with daily flossing and regular dental visits!

If gingivitis is not treated it can progress into peridotantal disease- meaning at this point the bacteria has now caused bone loss which is not reversible and must be treated with a deep cleaning to remove the bacteria!

The roots of your teeth are near your sinus and brain- an issue left untreated can cause more issues than you’d think!

Be sure to see your dentist regularly and update your x-rays annually so we can always check all teeth regularly!!

Last week was Dental Assistant’s Week!! 🦷

We didn’t get a picture of all the girls, but they were spoiled daily all week long!! 🪥

Beginning with Flowers and a Starbucks Card, then a lunch, new shoes and so much more!! 💗

We are so appreciative of our assistants and the miracles they work daily for us!! Their knowledge, work ethic, and energy is unmatched!! 🥰

Does this cold ❄️ weather cause sensitive teeth?! 🦷

Did you know fluoride is the ONLY mineral that bonds to your tooth and rebuilds/remineralizes weak spots in your teeth! 👏🏼 Yes, you read that correctly!! This is especially important for kids and high cavity risk patients!!

Sensitive teeth are usually caused by recession or weaker areas on your teeth, and fluoride is a good way to rebuild these areas! 🦷

We typically recommend this every 6 months but do feel it is best to apply once a year!! If you have not been getting this benefit with your cleanings ask your hygienist about this next visit! 🪥

💉 The worst and best part of any restorative dental visit!! 🦷

There’s an old wives tale that says if you drink caffeine after your dental appointment it will help to metabolize the anesthesia so you aren’t numb for so long!! 👏🏼

It’s a great day when we tell you to leave the office and get a treat!! ☕️ So plan for that after your next filling, crown or any time you’re numb in the office!!

Which type are you?! ⬇️⬇️ (and if you’re married your spouse is most likely the opposite! 🤣)

On a serious note 🤓 not all toothpaste(s) are equal! Some can be very abrasive to your teeth! 🦷

Although we all love having bright white teeth, try to keep your whitening, charcoal, or tartar control pastes to a minimum as these are too abrasive to your enamel for daily use!! 🪥

Sensodyne style tooth paste is great for getting fluoride as well as less abrasive for your teeth to protect your enamel!!

Each year we have so much fun and continue to grow and learn every day!! We have hit capacity with 1️⃣3️⃣ employees now!! 👏🏼

Congratulations to Dr. Barron for all of her hard work and the work family she has created!! 🎉

This year Dr. Nye hit the ground running with BOTOX for both cosmetic and helping those with issues from clenching and grinding!! 💉 She has our whole office looking gorgeous!! 😉

Lex turned 30 and had a super fun surprise waiting for her at work!! 🥳

We created the BEST Halloween pumpkins, winning the contest and getting lunch for the office!! 🎃

Dr. Barron, Dr. Nye, and the hygienists took Continuing Education courses together so we can stay in the “new” with all education and technology!! 🤓

Beth, Megan and their boys got to be on the field with the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and had front row seats to a game!! 💙🏈🧡

We got a visit from Lex’s little sister and we were all star struck and wanted an autograph!! Next time she has an appointment we are making her come in her uniform! 😉

We got spoiled by our patients with tons of goodies and even visits from our furry friends!! 🐶

We ended the year with a fun Christmas Party testing our chef skills and having too much fun in between!! 🎄

When we say that each year brings lots of love and laughter, we truly mean it!! We are forever thankful for Dr. Barron, Dr. Nye, staff and of course our patients!! 🪥

We are truly a FAMILY with not only our staff, but with patients that have been with Dr. Barron since day 1 and now feel like family as well!! 🥰
