Ahhhh the sounds of the end of summer… the roar of my Harley headed down PCH. The sun glistening off the Pacific Ocean. Waves crashing on beach and the views 😍.

It is okay if you need/want to take a break... even an extra long one over a holiday weekend.

🤔 Imagine focusing on the good, the true, and the positive. I've referred to myself as a "realistic dreamer".

👉 Think about what you can learn from a recent problem.
🤔 hmmm well, the biggest lesson I've learned about recently is how to take a Mindful Pause when agitated and because of that pause, can respond and not react.
And for that, I am super grateful 🙏
Action for Happiness - Day 27
👉 Write down 3 things you are grateful for [even if today was hard].
This is an evening exercise I go through when lying down to sleep. Finding 3 things to be grateful for sets my sleep cycle into the hypnoidal stage of the last 30 minutes. These 3 things [that change day to day or not] are suggestions to my unconscious mind, to receive gratitude, as we have discussed, can change everything!

👉 Catch yourself over-reacting and take a deep breath.
🤗 This is wonderful self-care in ACTION!
✨ imagine this... responding, instead of reacting. That is what a Mindful Pause can do for you!
🫶 this is a wonderful way to calm the sympathetic nervous system in overload aka fight/flight.

Thankfulness will absolutely change your life.
An attitude of gratitude will transform relationships, work environment, family life, and overall satisfaction in your life. And it's not a difficult achievement.
You just have to look at your life a bit differently. 🔦👀
Like anything else worthwhile, it needs to become a habit.
Being conscious of everything in your life helps you to make better decisions and achieve the life you want to live.
*Tip - when you are feeling 'stuck' in a moment and cannot break loose of a negative limiting thought... take a Mindful Pause and with 3 big deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
*Tip 2 - if that only regulates your sympathetic nervous system, and the thoughts are still there, move your body, change your environment🚶🏻🚶🏻

🤔 imagine, if you will, a world full of people being nice to each other, crazy right?!?!? Not so much, it is easy but not simple.

Action for Happiness - Day 24
Choose [key word] to see something good about what has gone wrong.
👀 if you look, it is there, the proverbial 'silver lining'. Even in my most difficult life challenges, I can choose to see something good about the event that I judged as "wrong".
⬆️ sometimes it requires pulling up and out of the granular level, but it is there.

Remember that all feelings and situations pass in time...
⏳ You have heard me mention a "Mindful pause" right... sometimes if we pause and take 3 deep breaths we can allow space for the moment you might be stuck in, to pass.
💪 simple, but not easy. Takes practice.

Find 3 things you feel hopeful about and write them down.
