Congrats on 3 years of sobriety Scott. The life and family you have created is an inspiration to so many. You’ve come so far and we couldn’t be more proud of you!!!!!! RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE! 💪🏼 ❤️

“I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life. I'm still working through it personally, but the best thing about me is that if an alcoholic or drug addict comes up to me and says, 'Will you help me?' I will always say, 'Yes, I know how to do that. I will do that for you, even if I can't always do it for myself. So I do that,
whenever I can. In groups, or one on one. And I created the Perry House in Malibu, a sober- living facility for men. I also wrote my play The End of Longing, which is a personal message to the world, an exaggerated form of me as a drunk. I had something important to say to people like me, and to
people who love people like me. When I die, I know people will talk about Friends, Friends, Friends. And I'm glad of that, happy I've done some solid work as an actor, as well as given people multiple chances to make fun of my struggles
on the world wide web... but when I die, as far as my so-called accomplishments go, it would be nice if Friends were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other
people.

We could not be more saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Pat Montoya. Pat was there for us when Jeremy passed away. He took our hands and guided us into what the recovery community is really about- which is giving back. We spent countless hours with Pat talking to the youth and educating them about the dangers of drugs. Pat was so passionate about his cause, watching him speak never got old. He was uplifting and inspiring- all while having a huge smile on his face. This is a huge loss for the community as we all know Pat as the person who has the answers. We went to him in times of need and he was always there for all of us ! The impact that Pat made on this community is indescribable. We love you Pat. RIP sweet amazing angel. You are so loved and will be missed forever.

August 31- recognized as International Overdose Awareness Day the world's largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember those we have lost to an overdose, acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, and renew our commitment to end overdose and related harms.

On March 6, 2023 across the United States families and loved ones remember and celebrate the lives lost to overdose. This day has become known as Black Balloon Day. Black Balloon Day has become a national and international event, bringing awareness to overdose deaths.

What is this poison that we are hearing about all over the news? 😡😔 For those of you who don’t know what fentanyl is- read below 👇🏻
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid typically used to treat patients with chronic severe pain or severe pain following surgery. Fentanyl is a Schedule II controlled substance that is similar to morphine but about 100 times more potent. Under the supervision of a licensed medical professional, fentanyl has a legitimate medical use. Patients prescribed fentanyl should be monitored for potential misuse or abuse.
Illicit fentanyl, primarily manufactured in foreign clandestine labs and smuggled into the United States through Mexico, is being distributed across the country and sold on the illegal drug market. Fentanyl is being mixed in with other illicit drugs to increase the potency of the drug, sold as powders and nasal sprays, and increasingly pressed into pills made to look like legitimate prescription opioids. Because there is no official oversight or quality control, these counterfeit pills often contain lethal doses of fentanyl, with none of the promised drug.
