Sign of a BUSY day at the studio ✨ Feeling blessed

✨Story time ✨ Almost 6 months ago I went across the country to Washington State & spent a week at Body Mechanics Massage Therapy School with the most amazing group of people. This trip made me begin to confront all the things about myself that I saw as weaknesses; my inability to find happiness in a job, my discomfort with change, my need to be in control etc.
I spent the week with an incredible woman, Shari Aldrich, who reminded me an astonishing amount of my grandmother; her ambition, her love for animals, her desire to help people for all the right reasons. Shari quickly became someone I wished to emulate, even just by looking at the world through the type of lens she did. I could talk about this trip until I turn blue, but the fact is, I left Washington a new person. A person who was able to transform my “weaknesses” into qualities that fit my life & help evolve me into who I am today. In 6 short months I started my own business, built a consistent clientele, & found TRUE happiness in my career, all because a wise woman taught me to believe in myself…
This wise woman does not limit herself & is always “breaking through her glass ceiling” finding & achieving her next goal. Her newest adventure may be one of the most impressive yet, SHE WROTE A FREAKIN BOOK! I am honored to be able to crack this open & read the words of my mentor while reflecting on how absolutely lucky I am to have met her… Congratulations may your words reach millions ❤️

✨ Story of the Opal Essence Logo ✨ I went through so many logos when starting my business, but nothing felt like ME & that was so important. I wanted to feel real passion & heart in my logo when I looked at it. I ended up reach out to my boyfriend’s amazing mother Susan to see if she could use her talent to create something personal that would bring my personality into my business. The finished product is 100% hand drawn & crafted by Susan & as soon as she showed me it, I KNEW it was perfect. I can now shape my business brand around this beautiful logo & feel proud to show it off ❤️

This month is all about acceptance & equality. Love looks different for everyone, regardless of identity, but on the inside it’s all the same right? Love is love, always, this fact should never be up for debate by someone outside of our own personal circle of love.
Massage can be a very vulnerable thing, letting someone take care of you is not always easy. That is why I strive to create an environment that is safe, welcoming & accepting of all. I will work everyday to make sure that I continue along this path ❤️
