I've had a few name changes since I started this journey. I believe I truly found myself and my confidence in my journey as Get Polished by Dee. I've also learned, worked on, and have grown as a person myself during this time while also dealing with some of the most traumatic events in my life yet. And I just cannot thank you all enough for your continuous love and support. Thank you for not being just clients, but family. 🤍

Update 1: 05/21/24

• Mom is currently in pre op for surgery. A few weeks ago my mom finally decided to see a doctor about a strange lump in her neck. It’s been determined my mom has multiple inflamed lymph nodes with one so large that is has to be removed regardless. After many tests, the doctors are leaning towards lymphoma of some kind. She will be getting the mass removed today during surgery and they will pull biopsies from there. Mom’s blood work has been good though. We are holding on for hope that it is not malignant.

On top of this, a few weeks ago a mass was also found in my grandmas lower abdomen. The polyps around her mass have come back benign but no call on the mass results yet. Mom and grandma both will be getting pet scans to determine if anything may have spread. Of course if anything has things get more complicated.

This is a very trying time for my family. I got the approval to final post the things going on in hopes of well wishes for mom today. We are doing the absolute best we can to stay strong for each other. I’m hoping my dad is with us guiding us to better news soon.
