Hannah & Jake were so much fun to hang out with on Saturday! And their party truly did not stop at the end of the reception. Thankful they agreed to frolick during sunset and go with all my crazy ideas cause the photos speak for themselves.

Saturday was a toasty one, but getting to spend the day with Abbey & Jake at the Toledo Zoo for their intimate wedding was perfect! 🪼🐡🐢

They’re both big animal lovers, during their vows we found out that Abbey loves to bring home tarantulas!!!, so the zoo was the perfect setting. I mean how cool is it to be getting married in an aquarium with fish, stingrays, and a turtle swimming by?!

And big shout out to for sending us a beautiful invitation suite prior to the wedding!! The details in the invitations were incredible from the turtle wax seal to the animal stamps used.

Grooms are just as important as the bride! 🤵🏾‍♂️

Make sure to have enough time during and after getting ready photos to capture separate bride and groom portraits. Trust us, you’ll want them!

Look at that GLOW!! (Both from the sun and from that smile!). I met Maddie & Nathan up at Lillie Park near Ann Arbor and it was absolutely beautiful.

Of course they gave me that whole “we’re super awkward in front of the camera” spiel, but they quickly proved themselves wrong. It was such a fun little evening and I cannot WAIT till next April!

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but…you’re doing great. Like, whatever you’re doing, it’s awesome. And you’re awesome. So keep doing it.

It’s no surprise that we’re at Nazareth Hall 12 times this year and with that comes creativity. Rebecca had decided that she was going to walk the entire way down to the grotto and while we thought she was a little crazy (that hill is absolutely no joke 😅), the shot we got has become one of our favorites!

We loved getting to celebrate Rebecca + Brian tie the knot with their families last Friday. The day was beautiful and we truly cannot wait to share more!

First of all, can we just congratulate these two for graduating from nursing school?! Danielle & Dylan deserve a huge digital high five! 🖐️ I love being a part of such monumental moments in our couple’s lives!

I also love shooting at locations that I haven’t been to in a while! We met in Bowling Green at Wintergarden Park. I used to come here ALL THE TIME when we lived in BG and this session reminded me how much I love it there!

This face might be a little new to some of you! Today I’m re-introducing my husband, Brooks! 💗

Together, we started Swatch Studios 11 years ago! Around 2020, he took a step back from weddings to focus more on his commercial film and video freelance work (doing some awesome work for Nat Geo, Lego, Ford and more) while still managing some of the behind-the-scenes technical stuff for Swatch.

This guy is the smartest, goofiest, most talented guy I know and Auggie is his little mini-me. He is an elder-emo, loves F1 and sim racing and watching The Outdoor Boys YouTube Channel on Sunday mornings with Auggie.

Over the next year, you’ll be seeing a lot more of his face, so help me give him a warm welcome back into the wedding world!

Big Announcement Incoming:

Today, we are excited to introduce to you… COPPER STITCH!!

Claire is launching her own photography business and will be taking her own clients in 2025! The last 5 years have been been a whirlwind between graduating from BGSU and working with us for an internship, the weirdness that was 2020 and then the insane makeup year of 2021. Claire basically ran our business while we welcomed Baby Swatch in 2022 and now we’re coming into our biggest year yet, 2024!

It has been an incredible experience working along side Claire. She is kind-hearted, talented, hard-working and oh so fun and I have no doubt she is ready to do even more amazing things!

What does this mean for Swatch? Claire & Diana have a big year ahead with some amazing couples, so you’ll still see us together (killing it) all over the place. And don’t you worry, we’ll still be here next year and beyond! Diana & Brooks (the OG Swatch Studios duo) are going to continue offering our couples the same amazing experience as we have for the last 11 years! Yes, you read that…11 years!!

Had the best time at The Homestead, part of Stillwaters Retreat, with Kim & Nick for their engagement session! The weather was perfect, Kim was down for all my crazy ideas, and Nick even said “it wasn’t too bad” LOL I can’t wait for their wedding at Stillwaters in September 🥰🩷

This session was giving me all the cottage core, spring vibes 🌸🌱🩷 Can’t believe these two get married in less than a year!! Sarah & Nick, if the wedding feels anything like this session did, I CAN’T WAIT!

Lauren & Ryan wanted some spring photos, and wow I’m glad we did! This session is giving us allll the spring vibes on this rainy day 🌸 Also, that ring shot?! 11/10 🙌🏼

There’s no better feeling than an engagement session on a perfectly sunny spring day! After having to reschedule from a cold, rainy day a few weeks ago, we couldn’t have lucked out anymore with Kallie & Tyler’s session at Oak Openings. At The Spot, we found a TON of butterflies 🦋 it was so dreamy & unreal. One of them even landed on Tyler’s shoulder (see pic #2!!).

Still absolutely obsessed with these bridesmaid dresses! 😍🩵

We love this new wedding trend of different bridesmaid dresses that can be worn again after the wedding. If you’ve been in a wedding, you know what it’s like having dresses sit in your closet never to be worn again 🙄. This gives your girls the choice of how much they want to spend, a style that fits their body, and brings pops of color to your day!

Got another Toledo venue feature for ya! The Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Toledo is perfect for those with a large guest count who are looking for the convenience of an all-in-one venue.

Their various suites make for amazing getting ready spaces. Who also doesn’t love a quick walk to your room after the wedding reception ends?? Or go up to The Heights for the after party to keep on celebrating!

There’s no shortage of places for photos either! The water fountain, the main lobby, down by the river (well once that construction is finished, which we know will make it look so good down there). We love sunset photos up in The Heights too.

There’s a reason so many people love to go here for their engagement session, and it’s because there’s beauty in so many different areas. Looking for some tall grass? Got it! Water? Yep! It truly never gets old getting to see all it has to offer through every season.

Who’s ready for Nazareth Hall’s Bridal House this year?! SO excited to be a part of this again and getting to meet new couples, some we have booked, and see our vendor friends. Looking for that industrial, all in one venue right in Downtown Toledo? The Venues is the place to go! With getting ready rooms, a ceremony space, and a large room for the reception it’s you’re downtown wedding dream.

One of the reasons we love The Venues, are all the places we can go for photos. The “abandoned area” is a unique space that you don’t get anywhere else. They also have a field of wildflowers that bring so much color and fun to sunset photos!

One of our most frequently asked questions is “How much coverage do I need?” This varies by each wedding, but we’ve found that 8-10 hours is that sweet spot. This covers the getting ready all the way to those fun open dance floor shots of your drunk aunt breaking it down!

If you’re still unsure, just ask! We’ll be honest with you on what we feel works the best for your day.

Where to begin with these two? We met McKenzie & Craig last year at Katie & Gordon’s wedding (where McKenzie officiated). Before the wedding, McKenzie was the dog-wrangler, so of course we strategically placed ourselves around her. 😂

Before we even knew she was engaged, we noticed her bright, bubbly personality & contagious smile (I think the last photo perfectly shows that!). It has been such a joy to get to know her and Craig and we’re so excited to share some sneak peeks! What a perfect way to kick off our wedding season!

Hi I’m Diana and for today’s Friday introduction, I’m gonna tell you some things I DO NOT like. This might ruffle some feathers, but I figured I’d get it out there in the open before things go any further 🤣

- Running. For exercise or to save my life, just no thanks.
- Spicy food. I just can’t handle it.
- Going to bed without a top sheet. COME ON.
- Cooking. Like, I know we have to eat to survive, but it’s always so overwhelming and leaves SUCH a mess.
- Lastly, people who don’t know how a 4-way stop works. This shouldn’t require an explanation.
