A Chef with a dream

Scott Pierce stands out in the culinary world through his distinctive training and personal style. His talent and love for cooking led him to Hocking College after high school where he was classically trained. A classically trained chef is one who has learned the components and technical skills required to prepare classic French cuisine and has learned to apply these techniques to any recipe, essentially creating new dishes. Having apprenticed under a Certified Master Chef, Chef Scott’s education was put to practical use as he honed and refined all that he’d learned. Chef Scott’s passion lies within using fresh ingredients; never frozen. He supports the local community in using as many ingredients from local growers as is available, and it’s apparent in his food. Throughout Chef Scott’s career, he has catered weddings large and small, hosted private events, formal and casual, served meals to individuals and to the masses, all the while taking into consideration their palettes, the venue, and guest list. Scott opened Tree City Catering to bring quality, affordable catering to his hometown. In the years he’s been serving, he’s become known for his creative take on classic dishes as well as his own unique, fresh, and delicious recipes. Chef Scott has been involved in many Toledo events including; “I Do at the Zoo” and “The Superbowl of All Bridal Shows“. He was also the winner of the 2014 WSPD “You Will Do Better in Toledo” Contest.
