SLOTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE:
• This is not your typical rock-climb. You will be wearing a full-body industrial harness and using advanced climbing equipment and techniques. Rather than using your arms to climb a wall, YOU WILL BE USING YOUR LEGS!! to climb the rope.
• Getting off the ground is the hardest part of the climb for most people. You will have time to practice your technique during training and an OTE Technician will guide you through the first few steps. Once you’re off the ground, you will have a radio to communicate with your OTE Technician.
• The climb can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes and can be quite a workout. Think of it like walking on an inclined stair-stepper machine with a backpack on. If at any point you get tired, you can take a break by sitting down in your harness. If you don’t make it to the roof, an Over The Edge technician can lower you safely back to the ground.
• During your climb you may be against the building, but don’t worry your hands will be free to keep your body off the wall. Once you are at the top of your climb, you will be assisted over the edge and onto the roof by the Over The Edge team.

Hypnotherapy might help some people feel more comfortable and in control of their situation. People with cancer most often use hypnotherapy for sickness or pain."

Delve into the creative process of crafting beautiful journal covers using mixed media and paper weaving techniques. Heart journals can be used for capturing moments of joy and growth. Consider bringing photos, ticket stubs, or other artifacts (that you don’t mind altering) to add as an addition to your Heart Journal! Facilitator: Kayt Harden

In November 2011, TVC started a modest Wig Bank in cooperation with American Cancer Society (ACS). ACS provided free wigs and we supplied the trained wig fitters (most of whom are cancer survivors themselves). We had a small inventory with little variety in a converted, tiny storage area.

Now we have an entire space dedicated to the Wig Bank with over 300 wigs in stock at any given time. In 2024 so far, we have given out 185 FREE wigs to people going through cancer treatment 🤍

We'll describe to you some of the services we offer like oncology massage, energy work, reflexology, and facials, support groups, art therapy and other classes; we'll see what's a good match for you.

Student volunteers at UT raise money to cover the cost of camp for these kids. This year’s camp is August 4th-9th. It is held at Camp Potawatomi in Indiana.

July is Sarcoma Awareness Month 💛🌻

Friday, July 26, you can light up your home **yellow** to spread awareness.

Niagara Falls (New York and Canada), The Terminal Tower (Cleveland, Ohio), and the Twin Spires at Churchill Downs (Louisville, KY) will all be lit up!

Sarcomas are cancers that arise from the cells that hold the body together.
