EVERYONE'S hair lifts warm...meaning that the when lightened (bleached) the natural undertone of the average human's hair is warm (red, copper, gold). If the hair is strong and healthy, we can lighten someone's hair pretty well and tone down the unwanted warmth. Toners are like stains and they DO wash out over time. So by the time you are ready for your next lightening service, your toner will have very likely washed out quite a bit if not completely. Just a lil hair 101.

For the prettiest, healthiest hair, opt for a trim every 3 months. The idea is, that you do not want your split ends to creep up too high. When that occurs, it will take more than a trim to eliminate them. So while trimming your hair does not make it grow faster, you will indeed enjoy longer healthier hair by removing the dead ends 3-4 times per year. You are certainly welcome to trim more often! Did you know that I am certified to teach yoga??​​​​​​​​​I got my 200 hour certificate a million years ago and never taught, but have loved yoga and stretching for about 20 years now. ​​​​​​​​​I love doing yoga to Pink Floyd and my favorite pose is Janu Shirasasana or single leg stretch.

I was born and raised in California and moved to The Woodlands when I was 12.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I played every sport imaginable from birth to high school graduation.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
After that I attended UTSA where I obtained my Bachelors in Fine Arts.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I love drawing and painting. Creating is second nature to me.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Doing hair fits in so perfectly with who I am, because I am always visualizing shapes and color.​​​​​​​​

When I am not in the salon I enjoy painting, drinking craft beer, watching old movies, exercising and doing yoga.​​​​​​​​

Spending time with my wife and daughter is my favorite thing to do...And I'd like to get them back out camping and road tripping soon as I've missed that very much since Jasmine came into our lives. I think she's ready now! ​​​​​​​​

And it all fell into place because we decided to take a gigantic, frightening leap over 5 years ago when Dave quit his job in Oil and Gas. We followed our inner intuitive guide and for us, it has been the best decision.

When he is not in the salon, David is ALWAYS painting in his home studio.

He constructs all of his wood panels from scratch before beginning the creative process.

Dave's artwork hangs in our home and in the salon and he has been fortunate enough to now have been represented by 4 local galleries! Two in The Woodlands and two in inside the Loop.
