A message from our President.
Dear Students,
This past weekend brought anguish and alarm to the entire nation and the world with the attempted assassination of presidential candidate Donald J. Trump. We are grateful that the Secret Service was able to respond quickly and that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is working diligently to understand this event and prevent any further attempts on any official. Regardless of political or philosophical differences, violence is never the answer. Our thoughts are with the Trump family and all victims of violence.
During these unsettling times, it is important to focus on our shared values of respect for others, tolerance for differing opinions, and upholding the democratic process. Our commitment to inclusion and belonging includes fostering an environment where open dialogue and mutual respect are paramount.
As your president, I want to assure you that your well-being is our priority. If you need support, I encourage you to reach out for assistance and take advantage of the resources available to you on campus.
Let us continue to show respect for one another and condemn acts of violence at every opportunity.
Your president,
Pamela Monaco, Ph.D.
