Councilman Scott Wardle Tooele County Council District 1
I represent the citizens of Tooele County District 1.
We, The Tooele County Council, are deeply troubled about this evenings attempted assassination of former President Trump. We, ask that all people unite in prayer for former President Trump, the innocent victims and for peace in our Country. We condemn political violence of any kind.
For the last three years, I’ve been able to serve the citizens of district one in Tooele County. I have fought to be a voice for your values, to protect your tax dollars by insuring they are spent in the most effective efficient manner for your benefit. We have been accountable to you in making sure that our government is run with transparency and integrity. Tuesday night is an important night not only in our local races, but throughout our nation, as we decide who we will elect to be our voice, protecting our values and to keep us safe and free. Please attend caucus meeting Tuesday night. I am humbly asking for your support to serve you for another four years as YOUR Councilmen in Tooele County District 1.
Dear Tooele County Residents,
Our nation is at a crossroads. The stakes are high and more than ever, we need true leadership, real principles and straight talk.
In the Republican primary for the US Senate, I'm supporting a candidate who gets things done by bringing people together and fighting for the right things: Ally Isom.
Ally is experienced. Ally is a Utah business and community leader. She served as deputy chief of staff to Governor Gary Herbert, was a director for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and lead as a business executive in Utah's nanotech sector. She built her career speaking truth to power and navigating tough issues.
Ally is effective. She has a solid reputation for valuing people and really listening. People who work with her know she finds a way to get the impossible across the finish line. She's empathetic, yet tough. Smart. Articulate. Principled. And she will show up when Utah needs her.
Ally knows Utah. When she began her campaign, Ally committed to walk with everyday Utahns in every city and town. She's been in more than 120 Utah communities, listening to local officials, Main Street business owners, entrepreneurs, ranchers, farmers, parents, teachers, technicians and tradespeople. She came from hardscrabble roots and works hard.
It's time for a different kind of leadership. I strongly encourage you to support Ally Isom in the upcoming GOP primary. You can learn more on her website at AllyForUtah.com
Dear Delegates,
Wow, what a wild time this last week last has been. Thank you for attending the events and talking with Brad this last week. He truly loves hearing your perspective and questions. You’ll notice this is Kaye writing Brad’s wife. That might seem a little strange but I’ll explain.
For the past two months Brad has been more lethargic than usual and complaining of a sore wrist. He associated this with playing the drums too much. 😀 I just thought it was age. However, on Tuesday he experienced slight chest discomfort while applying fertilizer on the grass. (In 2015, Brad had a heart attack and 3 stents placed.)
Concerned about any new problems, his heart doctor ordered an angiogram catheter for Friday afternoon. Several new blockages were found in Brad's heart that additional stents couldn't fix. An urgent quadruple bypass surgery was done early Saturday morning. His surgeon said the surgery was successful despite it being more difficult than expected.
Today, Brad has been up and walking. He is so much more his old self. He is in the hospital recovering. He is concerned about you and what you might think about this whole situation. He is not giving up the race to serve the citizens of Senate District 11.
In fact, he is more determined than ever to keep moving forward. He is just going to proceed a little bit differently. He will not be able to meet with delegates Monday and Tuesday night.
He is reading and will be able to respond to emails on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Our family has been additionally been blessed with a true miracle this Easter. We have so much to be for grateful for because of our Savior's love and concern for each and everyone of us on this glorious Easter Sunday! We know our father in heaven was there with Brad and with his doctors who saved his life.
We’ll be in communication over the next couple days. Thank you for your prayers and support.
Sincerely,
Kaye
