How is everyone doing? Guess what is coming up?
Field Day is June 22nd at the Pioneer Park in Tooele.
We'll start set up at 9AM.
Greetings!
The annual Great Utah Shakeout is coming up this Thursday, April 18th. We'll be running an Emergency Communications network starting about 10am that day. The actual "earthquake" is scheduled for 10:15am.
We're asking all amateur radio operators who can reach any of the Tooele County repeaters to strand by around 10:15am and wait for the opportunity to check in on the network. The frequencies will be any of the Tooele County repeaters (South Mountain, Black Corrok, Wendover, and Delle).
If you are NOT able to reach any of the Tooele County repeaters, we're asking you to send a text message between 10:15 and 10:45 to Roland K7OJL at 435-849-1946.
We will send out an AlertSense alert tomorrow morning with this same information. If you don't receive that text message, please let Roland know (by text or email) at the address below.
Thanks!

September 24 Take today and have an After-Action Review.
Emergency Personnel do this after every incident and every drill so that they can improve upon their time and upon their skills. Here are some questions to ask:
• What should have happened?
• Were the aims and objectives of the project clear and understood?
• What went right?
• Did the various activities and tasks go according to plan?
• What went wrong (or could have gone better)
• Consider tasks, communications, outcomes as indicated above.
• What lessons can we take forward?
Take the time to talk with your household and ask questions about what didn’t go well but then end on what did go well and highlight those things and make a goal to improve upon the things that didn’t go well and to celebrate that you did practice and that you will do better next time because of the changes you are talking about and will make. Write them down. Make a plan to implement those changes soon so you are ready.
