We celebrated our Washburn University Debate Team on their Championship! Congratulations to all!

We are so proud to announce that the Washburn University debate team has been crowned the national champions at the National Forensic Association (NFA) Lincoln-Douglas Debate Championships, and Washburn’s Cade Blenden (junior) is the tournament champion and has been named the top speaker of the championship! The tournament was hosted by Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, April 18 – 22. Read all the details here:

🎉Congratulations to the Washburn student employee, Lakin on winning the gift basket from the student employee appreciation drawing!

Beauty is from Pittsburg, KS and started at the Ichabod Shop in October of 2023. She is a cashier and assists at events on campus. Some of her favorite items include our branded cups and the new black Washburn hoodie we just received.

Erica is from Topeka, KS and started at the Ichabod Shop in July of 2023. She works at the register, assists customers, and makes sure the floor is stocked. She enjoys our sweatshirts/hoodies as they have nice designs and are comfortable!

Maddie is from Topeka, KS and started at the Ichabod Shop in June of 2023. She assists customers in store and one of her favorite items is the sparkly tumbler we got in for homecoming!

Zaniyah is from Topeka, KS and started here in July of 2023. She assists customers in store and is a big fan of our Washburn hoodies!

Jaxon is from Gretna, NE, and started at the Ichabod Shop in August 2023. He is a cashier and assists customers in the store. His favorite item we offer is the Tailgate Hound tee from The Duck Co.

Kassidy is from Marthasville, MO and has been here at the Ichabod Shop since August 2021. She is a student associate and helps as a cashier, in course materials, and at events. Her favorite items are the fun pens we get in occasionally!

Rae is from Lawrence, KS. She was a retail associate back in 2019-2021 and is now an Event Assistant/Marketing Student. She assists customers in store and at campus events and also helps create marketing material for our social media and websites. One of the items she likes from the Ichabod Shop is the Tailgate Hound tee from The Duck Co we got in this spring!

Jackson is from Topeka, KS, he assists with course material adoptions and orders.

Levi is from Concordia, KS, and started at the Ichabod Shop in Spring 2021. He is a cashier and one of his favorite items in the store is our essential Washburn University crewneck (in ash grey).

Nolan is from Topeka, KS, and started at the Ichabod Shop in May of 2022. He fills web orders, updates our Ichabod Shop website and helps out with textbooks.

This week is Student Employee Appreciation Week and we are very appreciative of our student employees!
