Let's recognize our Shawnee County Fair 4-H Royalty candidates in our final days before the Fair begins!

The process for the candidates includes being nominated by their club, filling out an application, and participating in an interview and speech day!

The 4-H Photography exhibits will be on display at the Fair later this week!

Our last senior for 2024 senior recognition is Carl!

Our seniors will be recognized at the Fair on Sunday the 28th at 2:30 pm!

Today is our first day of judging for the 2024 Shawnee County Fair!

The Horse Show is this Sunday and the Fair is officially open to the public next Thursday!

Hello 4-H Families!

The Shawnee County Fair is happy to bring back the bounce houses for the public on Friday July 26th and Saturday July 27th at the fair. They are looking for workers for the bounce houses and if you sign up for a shift, they are giving volunteers a free day wristband to jump as a thank you! The link to sign up for shifts is below, one worker per shift needs to be over the age of 18 and all workers need to be 9 or older. If a parent wants to give their "thank you" band to another family member that is ok!

‼️👀Are you an adult interested in judging county and state 4-H projects, including animal exhibits (livestock, horse, dog, rabbit, etc. shows), static exhibits, communications and 4-H Day events??

🗓Register for the Kansas 4-H Judges Database!

Potential judges are not required to be listed on the database in order to judge. Registering for and being listed on the database allows for more exposure and opportunities to judge. It also ensures that judges working with youth are screened prior to working with youth. The database is updated annually, and we ask that judges who were previously listed, complete the process annually to ensure that information is kept current.

⏰This 4-H Judge Registration system is open until September 30th, 2024 at 11:59 PM and will re-open again on July 1, 2025.

Our wheat science program is perfect to pair with Kansas Day lessons!

Our office provides one bread kit per 3 students, a bread recipe and instructions, and online resources. Teachers provide water, oil, measuring utensils, and an oven for baking.
