How did I not know about this place in Maine???
How amazing!!
Maine Dog Rescue | Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary Located in Acton Maine, our rescue was inspired by the lives of Rose Kessler Wentworth (“Grammy Rose”) and her husband Ralph Edward Wentworth (“Wicky Ralph”). The rescue is a living tribute to their legacy.
As we approach the end of summer, Clyde's interest in a novel ball becomes apparent.
Vacationland French Bulldogs is delighted to announce the breeding of our esteemed Vacationland's Poison Ivy with GE's Ace's High at Vacationland, in partnership with Natale Verdone.
Both Ivy and Ace have obtained OFA hip, heart, spine, and trachea Certifications and are descendants of OFA CHIC certified parents.
We may have a few available as our beautiful little momma had an x-ray earlier this morning and it appears she is hiding 5-6 little nuggets.
Puppies are expected next week ❤️
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
Wishing you all an amazing and safe holiday weekend!
Saffy update!
She has stepped right into the older sister role and loving her sister Mavis!

See you there!
Two remarkable young gentlemen search for forever homes. They are 10 months old, with current rabies and distemper vaccinations.
Gordon has a significantly reduced rehoming fee and would thrive in an adult-only, pet-free household, displaying a high prey drive but getting along with our family and other pets.
Clyde boasts an outstanding personality, promising to be an exceptional addition to any family. To ensure Clyde finds his forever home before turning one, his rehoming fee has been lowered.

Ivy is looking extra tired these days, could it be because she has a few little secrets hiding in that little belly??
Stay tuned…..
If you like to jump to the front of the line, let’s start the conversation and get some of the screening questions out of the way!
Saffy loved her day with mom and big human Sis. Her adorable adventure videos will be posted soon! She had a walk, a playdate, a quick dip in the river, (a trip to Dunkin but that’s a secret), and met some new friends at Petsmart!
She obviously loves people, walks, and once she warms up all 19.2 pounds comes at you like a ton of bricks! Be warned she loves to do a little ear nibbling, face washing, and bed hogging.
She could easily be that someone that is missing from your life, let’s talk if you would like to meet her as she is available to the right home.
Teenager not included 😊
Helloooooo HANDSOME!
T-Bone wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday in MidCoast Maine and remind everyone to “Eat Chicken NOT Beef!”
We absolutely LOVE getting pup dates! Look at how absolutely perfectly Stella (formerly known as Mighty Mouse) is!!
Saffy looking squeaky clean in the kitchen sink. I guess when you are 19.2 pounds you can take a bath in the sink and get away with it.
PROUD to screen for this!
All of our breeding dogs are screened via OFA. We also look at hips, spine (only as a minimum, most of our dogs also have patellas, hearts and eyes as well).
With Tracheal Hypoplasia, the trachea has a decreased luminal diameter resulting in breathing difficulties. The condition is common in Bulldog and non-Bulldog brachycephalic breeds.
The evaluation consists of a subjective evaluation of tracheal size and uniformity by a board certified veterinary radiologist, and an objective evaluation based on the ratio (TLR) of the tracheal lumen diameter at the thoracic inlet to the width of the proximal third rib. For certification, dogs must be at least 12 months of age at the time of radiography, must have a normal subjective evaluation of the tracheal size and uniformity, and must have a TLR greater than or equal to 2.0.

After much debate we have decided to put feelers out for a new 🏠 for our amazing GrCH Glen Ellen’s Blue Buckaroo x Jaklin Grand Felicity keeper girl.
Saffron is perfectly petite (19.2 pounds) at almost 10 months, she suffered trauma early on resulting in aural hematomas (which in full disclosure has not impacted her amazing “frenchie selective hearing”). She has a great personality that will keep you laughing.
If you feel she may be the ray of sunshine missing from your heart, feel free to reach out. And as always please feel free to share.
Steamed broccoli: nutritious delight or dinner leftovers?
We love to share our fresh fruits and veggies with our puppy dog crew.
What is your dog’s favorite fresh fruit/veggie?
We have also included a quick reference photo from our friends ASPCA
Gordon was NOT ready to wake up this morning and wants everyone to know it.
Gordon is 9 months old and is available to the perfect home. Gordon would like to be the only child (that’s right he doesn’t want human or furry siblings), his future home should have 1-2 adults that are looking to enjoy his silly expressions and goofy personality.
Gordon is current on vaccines, crate trained and 90% house trained.
Did someone say freeze dried Salmon…. 💙Clyde
Before the kids wake up, Ivy and I are enjoying snuggles and listening to the birds on the deck.
It’s going to be another hot week, let’s be sure to keep our little house piggies cool and comfortable!
Something’s cooking………. Stay tuned
Ivy wants to show off her “baby” and tell everyone that it is about to be her to shine! We can’t wait for the pitter patter of little paws and puppy breath!
Watch here for our breeding announcement!
Saffy is always up for a photo session, Clyde is all about the next adventure.
Gordon is the ultimate adventure buddy - reliable, exciting, and always up for a good laugh!
We are happily taking reservations for meet and greets with possible new families.
FYI
