Program Overview:
This intermediate level course will provide information about each step involved in referring for and conducting comprehensive psychological assessments for children, teens, and young adults. Topics include: identifying signs of learning differences and differential diagnoses (particularly trauma), how to conduct comprehensive assessments, facilitating feedback sessions, and collaborating with practitioners providing the interventions. Effective interventions for neurodevelopmental differences and how to integrate them into therapy will be discussed, with a focus on brain-based and relational/co-regulation strategies. Case examples of clients with learning differences and giftedness will be presented and information about neurodiversity and affirmative language will be provided.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe neurodiversity and the clinical and ethical implications of utilizing neurodiversity affirming language and care.
2. Explain key elements of a psychological assessment including ethical and cultural considerations, as well as how to differentiate between trauma and neuro-developmental differences.
3. Discuss how to facilitate successful collaboration between assessment clinicians and intervention practitioners.

Hi all,

We're hiring both licensed psychologists and post-doctoral psychological associates for remote/in-office/hybrid positions! We are particularly interested in finding candidates who would be interested in providing supervision, doing child work, and/or including assessments as part of their caseload.

Please see the information below if you're interested! You can also feel free to FB message or email me with any questions :-)

Crossroads Institute for Psychotherapy and Assessment, a private practice with locations in Irvine, Torrance, West Los Angeles, and Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking full-time licensed psychologists and post-doctoral psychological associates due to recent expansion.

For Licensed Psychologists, both remote and local positions are available. Solely telehealth, in-office, and blended arrangements can be made. We are especially interested in candidates who could provide supervision to our post-doctoral psychological associates. Start date will be based upon completion of the credentialing process with our contracted insurance companies. Salary is competitive, with uncapped earning potential based on productivity, and pay is increased annually.

For Post-doctoral Psychological Associates, both remote and local positions are available. Solely telehealth, in-office, and blended arrangements can be made. Start date would be based upon successful registration as a post-doctoral psychological associate with the CA Board of Psychology, and pay is hourly. Along with individual and group supervision, there is a weekly process group designed specifically to support our psychological associates, as well as an EPPP & CPLEE study group.

We focus on providing integrated psychotherapy to children and adults, as well as a full range of psychological assessment for all ages, psychiatric care, and bio- and neurofeedback. Our providers enjoy a collaborative, collegial environment with a strong focus on providing ethical and competent services to individuals, couples, and families. This is accomplished, partly, by our regular peer consultation meetings and case consultations, and an openness to innovation and creativity. The practice has an extremely low rate of turnover for both clinical and support staff, and these openings are due solely to expansion. We currently run long waitlists, and new clinicians have been able to reach a full caseload in a short period of time after joining Crossroads.

We provide competitive compensation that includes health insurance, paid time off, matched 401k, Continuing Education reimbursement, and many other benefits. We value work-life balance and clinician wellness, and require a lower number of work hours to qualify for full-time status.

If interested, please submit your Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter outlining your therapeutic approach to Jillian Pexa, Psy.D. at j.pexa@crossroads- psych.com. If you are interested in psychological testing, please submit a sample report and a list of measures that you have experience with.
