While most of us do our part every day, this is a great opportunity to make an even greater impact than usual by getting out there and joining the masses! NEWPORT HARBOR PADDLE TOUR THIS SUNDAY!
Come join us this Sunday for a fun leisurely paddle exploring the Newport Harbor and Back Bay. This is definitely an ALL DAY EXCURSION and there is no early outs so if you’re looking to join us you’re in for the long haul! That said, the paddling is very easy and we cruise at a VERY relaxed pace.
Details:
We will meet at Newport Aquatic Center at 9am and plan to have everyone on the water by 10am for a nice relaxing paddle tour around the back bay and canals of Newport. It’s a fairly long day on the water but the paddling is very easy and the pace is...well let’s just say we ain’t in any rush 🐌 🐌 🐌. Those with their own boards are welcome to come as always. Those who need boards or who have friends who need boards can pre-book an all day rental for just $55 per board and that will include transportation of the equipment. Rental boards can be reserved by calling Olympus Board Shop at 424-262-1699 before 4pm on Friday. After that your on your own!!

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO... Last week we had one of those magic moments. There aren’t too many days that I can really complain about, but we are all susceptible to a little self pity once in a while. Last week we had a customer who was so gracious, so genuine, so appreciative. He purchased 2 paddleboards. One for his daughter and one for himself. He didn’t question our pricing.
Rather he expressed his utter thankfulness for our time in helping him choose the ideal equipment, our friendly service, and our knowledge based on over 12 years of experience in paddling. Before leaving he told me “You guys are in the business of making memories” and that he was looking forward to the many hours and days of memories he would be making with his daughter on the water. This is why we do what we do. It ain’t about the $$. Trust me.
It definitely ain’t about that... I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to help good folks like Paul and his daughter make good memories that will last a lifetime.

VICTORY FOR THE OLYMPUS RACE CREW!! Congrats to the boys for picking up 3 podiums at the 7 mile open water R10 race today. Not bad for a bunch of Kapunas! We had the right tools for the job thanks to and Big thanks to Kyle Daniels and Riviera Mexican Grill in the Redondo Riviera Village for hosting a great race with great food! Mahalo for keeping the race spirit alive here in the South Bay!!
