Our new Fight Night Collection captures a key piece of history when Grand Master Master Helio was refining his jiu-jitsu in a variety of challenge matches. The fight was against a larger catch wrestler, Fred Ebert, who was a journeyman traveling through Brazil at the time. Helio had just turned 19 the month prior to the fight and Fred outweighed Helio by over 20 kilograms! This was also one of Helio's first challenge matches with a large public audience and he had yet to prove himself as the newspaper called him, "The Jiu-Jitsu Kid." The fight ended controversially, being broken up by the police, as it was going too late into the night to determine a winner. Although the fight technically ended in a draw, it amazingly lasted 10 rounds, and they were 10 minute rounds!
