Feeling behind and overwhelmed with time? I've been there, wrestling with thoughts like 'It's too late' or 'Why bother?'

Maybe you tried and failed (like many of us have), and you feel it’s safer than starting again.

One thing is for sure: the longer you put it off, the longer it takes, the bigger it builds up because we put so much of what we hoped for our life in that dream.

And the path seems more treacherous.

The most grueling part is the waiting. All the thinking and dreaming without doing is painful! Can you relate?

Here's a better option. Shift your attention from the dream to fully living now. What would that look like for you each day? (isn't that why we want the dream anyway?).

I try not to make it about the end goal as the daily craft of doing and being, how I show up rather than the romance of being successful.

When you reflect on your desires, think about the person you'd become to reach that goal. And how would your world shift if you showed up that way now?

Your daily presence makes such an impact.

We are told who to be and what to do since an early yet we are expected to know who we are uniquely.

And if there is any confusion, does it mean we are inauthentic?

The latin root is to “author” which means to be the “author” of one's own life and true to one's spirit and character. To be true to one's unique path is the meaning. And to go forth and author it is the journey.

There are many interpretations of the word authentic. We each have our definition of what this word means based on our own experience and context.

In marketing, unethical marketers can use this as a manipulative tactic to make you feel insecure or as a way to sell you (i.e., paid to be you) etc.

In society, someone says someone is a jerk, and their excuse is, “I’m just being authentic.” But tomorrow, they'll feel differently!

In a tech-driven world, we are bombarded with millions of messages – subconscious and conscious from the media, culture, and society. How do we stay true to who we are, let alone know the truth?

AUTHENTICITY IS HARD!

Amidst all this, we do have a CORE to our being that is our guidepost to make decisions and behavior. It's something unique to how you are naturally wired, your personality, and it's how you connect on a deep core level (the life process;) muddles and makes it hard to access!)

Did you know that Authenticity is the word of the year (from Merriam Webster)? It's been used a lot before in the past but do we really know what it means?

Authenticity, derived from the Latin root 'author,' is about being the author of our lives, staying true to our spirit, character, and unique paths.

In a world where we have so many distractions and influences, how do we even know what our truth is?

It's always rewarding to be able to retreat, slow down, so our minds have the space to reflect.

🔹 Am I fulfilling my purpose?
🔹 Am I true to who I am?
🔹 Am I using my gifts in alignment with my values?
🔹 Am I seeking external validation for happiness, contentment, and peace?

This year, I've focused on experiencing more fulfillment and joy daily. The key isn't in making huge leaps but in the power of small, consistent changes. Reflecting on the past, I realize the importance of not dwelling on 'lost years' or chasing monumental changes. It's about finding joy and lightness in the present moment and being kind to ourselves.

So here's to embracing our authentic selves, one day at a time.
