I had the pleasure of visiting the Myerberg Center and touring their facilities with Center Director Inbul Neun.
What an amazing, well-run senior center! The Myerberg Center truly stands out with its diverse range of offerings, including virtual learning, open art studios, Parkinson’s support, tech classes, and so much more.
It was inspiring to see firsthand how dedicated they are to enriching the lives of seniors through education, creativity, and community support. We look forward to working together and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
Thank you, Inbul, and the entire Myerberg Center team for your warm hospitality and for sharing your incredible work with us.
We hope you can join us for one of our educational seminars to give you an in-depth look at our innovative program and how it works.

Honoring Our Heroes: Memorial Day 2024🇺🇸
Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is a time of reflection and gratitude, a moment to pay tribute to the ultimate sacrifice made by those who fought to protect the freedoms we cherish.
As we enjoy the company of family and friends, let us keep in our hearts the true meaning of this day.
Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed.
WELCOME OUR NEW BOARD MEMBER!! ✨
We are so excited to have Sarah join The Wesley at Home Program.
Sarah Lentz Spellman, MAS, LNHA
Sarah spent most of her career in the field of senior living and services. Most notably, in 1998 she developed the first CCRC-based aging at home program in the country, Cadbury at Home. Under Ms. Spellman’s direction, Cadbury at Home, now operating as Springpoint at Home, grew from a new concept to a vital program that continues to serve over 200 members throughout southern and central New Jersey. In 2000, the organization was recognized with both the LeadingAge and LeadingAge New Jersey Innovation of the Year Awards. In 2005, Sarah joined ThirdAge (later becoming CliftonLarsonAllen) as a consultant and began assisting non-profit organizations across the country to develop and operate innovative and traditional programs and services to better serve older adults. She was a frequent speaker at national meetings, she organized providers of aging at home organizations into a national working group, worked with Leading Age to support aging at home and coordinated the first ever aging at home national conference. Sarah also worked with state legislators and regulators to allow for the aging at home model in many states across the country.
Sarah is retired and enjoying spending time with six grandchildren, traveling, hiking, playing pickle ball and volunteering with the New Jersey AARP Speakers Bureau talking with older consumers about important current topics of interest, such as Brain Health, Fraud, Medicare, etc..
Our Executive Director, Amanda Young, PhD presented at the LeadingAge Maryland Annual Conference this past week along with Mark Beggs, CEO from Edenwald Senior Living.
They both spoke on the topic “Beyond Your Walls” which was about partnerships and why this collaboration represents a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of life for our senior community. By working together, Wesley at Home and Edenwald Senior Living are committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care and support that extends beyond traditional boundaries.

Understanding the Tax Deductibility of The Wesley at Home Membership:
Tax season is here, and members of our program may be taking advantage of the tax deduction of their membership entrance fee and monthly fees. These fees are considered prepaid medical expenses which may make them tax deductible. This is an important consideration when exploring our program as an option. We encourage everyone to talk with their financial planners and tax professionals to fully understand this benefit.
We supply members with an actuarial letter every year with an opinion of tax deductibility based on current tax law to give to your accountant. Your personal deductions are based on income vs. costs for prepaid medical expenses.
Most of our members can take advantage of tax deductions. In 2023, the entrance fee may be 100% tax deductible as prepaid medical expense, and 72% of the monthly fees paid may be tax deductible.
Due to the weather we are cancelling our lunch and learn event today 1/16 and it will be rescheduled for 1/30. We will be reaching out to those who registered this morning. Stay safe!
Today, we reflect on the timeless words and extraordinary legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
His dream of equality, justice, and unity continues to inspire us to create a world where kindness prevails, and compassion knows no bounds.
Let's honor his vision by spreading love and understanding.
