We’re flashing back to the past with this vintage Bakelite frame. This frame dates to circa 1930, just like us! Bakelite was the first fully synthetic plastic and was a popular frame material in the first half of the 1900s. The material however lacked flexibility and was prone to cracking. Because of this, few original Bakelite frames exist today.

🌹Rose Colored Glasses🌹Through experimenting with different colors, this customer found that red tinted lenses helped mitigate the symptoms of their Achromatopsia the best. Achromatopsia is an eye condition which causes reduced vision, extreme sensitivity to bright light and severely limits the ability to see color. The red tint added to these lenses proved most beneficial in increasing contrast and reducing glare for this customer so they can see their best possible.
