Monarda punctata or spotted beebalm is a spicy aromatic beauty that I look forward to harvesting along with Monarda fistulosa (acouple posts back) every summer.

A personal fave dried in tea or soaked in vinegar and honey to be used as a supportive aid when cold•flu•+ sinusitis creep in.

It’s awesome antimicrobial and antifungal properties make it effective for various skin ailments + I infuse it into ꜱᴋɪɴ ʙʟɪꜱꜱ balm for this purpose. I’ve had feedback that this balm has relieved anything from rough dry skin to full on acne breakouts. I love hearing from others what these plant gifts do for them💛💛

A seasonal beebalm soap usually finds it’s way to the sudsy lineup sometime around the end of summer.
Last year I paired it with blueberries for a fun bar. I might do that again or incorporate it into a minty wonder with some homegrown spearmint. Decisions decisions….

No filter and look at that electric purply blue! This is my first season growing them. There is a history of medicinal use with their seeds but my aim was purely emotional and aesthetic. The flower essence is said to help calm chaotic rhythms for the night owls but to also bring more alert consciousness to daily activities💙🌸

A quick dry wilt before macerating in high quality olive oil. Then to combine with separate infusions of garlic and St Johns Wort. 👂 oil in the making

The leaves of the mullein plant soothe and hydrate the lungs during respiratory illness while the blooms work wonders on earaches. Ear oil has been effective for our family for many years and this year I will be making a larger batch to extend to the community.

Enjoying a bowl of oatmeal is a common way to experience the nutritional support of this plant.

Harvesting the seeds when they are green and in their immature “milky” stage (before they mature and are turned into your morning porridge) gives you the potential for an awesome gentle nervine tonic

Can provide support for : Sleeplessness, adrenal burnout, drug addiction….

And the blended tincture is the brightest greenest green ever. I think I’ll be adding a sweet touch to this batch. Maple syrup?

Rose lip butter is back in the shop. Formerly Sweet Rose, now it’s ᴋɪꜱꜱ. Working with rose for inside and out care is gentle and a beautiful botanical expression of self love 🌸💗

Buttery smooth. Organic and wild rose petals soaked in golden jojoba. Virgin raspberry seed oil joining in for a light and fruity touch with a punch of anti inflammatory and antioxidant benefit. Alkanet root gives the butter its rosey tint.

I told myself that ᴅᴇᴡ ᴍɪꜱᴛ was going to be my mainstay skin toner offering from this shop but then the roses started to bloom. So while that toner is awesome and ✨currently stocked✨I’m also bringing this baby back

The ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴇʀ ᴏꜰ ʟᴏᴠᴇ release always highlights organic and wild roses and I just couldn’t pass it up. So another lovely toning mist is just about ready to be strained, bottled, and offered✨

Extracting rose in witch hazel is so satisfying and their delicate petals invite moisture and gentle support to our skin. I’m pairing it with pink yarrow and the overall feel and scent will be light, dewy, with a touch of natural rose aromas.

Release planned in the next week or so! 🌸✨✌🏽

Another glorious summer, another batch of dope soap filled with roses, chamomile, and lavender. A friend requested a floral/fruity soap from me and as I was blending eo for that one, I fell in love with the combo and so it’s the scent for this as well!🌼

This one sent my head spinning. Originally I was going to follow the lovely garnet color that the rose and alkanet waters gave and see what that did for the base color. As the lye was going in along with some frozen coconut milk, the color (as it usually does) started to shift and doubt that my vision would come to fruition crept in.

So I shifted gears and added some plant and clay powders striving for a color that would contrast and highlight the deep fuchsia of the rose petals going on top.

I wish I had taken a picture of what this looked like before a 24 hour cure ya’ll😅super dark SWAMP GREEN. I was a bit bummed
But now look what we have! A cool greenish blue (the pic isn’t quite doing it justice) that may or may not have some surprises for me once cut.

I think the strawberry patch is going to be a good provider this season 🍓✨ SUMMER SOLSTICE oxymel is coming back to the market booth + in the works. This one is my favorite honey + vinegar extract to craft. Its cool + calm + berry sweet🍓✨🍓

I’ve been playing in the gardens a lot this week🌱

Chives are easy to grow, they come back in this planter each season. Once the purply heads bloom you can snip them, eat them, + make a delicious simple vinegar for salads and such!

You can capture a vibrant pink Infusion if you use white vinegar (so pretty) but I opt for ACV along with a bit of raw honey to pack a bit more nutrition✨

Let the blossoms infuse for a couple of weeks in your vinegar of choice and then ✨voila!✨ yummy garlicky goodness

Catch me this Sunday at the market to grab some delicious tea or ramp salt (almost sold out!) I will also have some bug spray, a few soaps, aromatherapy, and facial care.

The summer update won’t be until around solstice so hang tight, it’s a goodie 💗🌞🌼
