How does Infrared Light Therapy Work?

What is Gua Sha?

Gua Sha is the practice in Chinese medicine of using a tool to apply pressure and scrape the skin to relieve pain and tension. This action causes light bruising, which often appears as purple or red spots known as petechiae or Sha. Gua Sha reduces blood stagnation, promotes lymphatic drainage, and alleviates muscle soreness and tension.

What is Joint Mobilization?

Joint mobilization is the careful use of skilled graded forces to move a joint in a desired direction stretching connective tissue and stimulating synovial fluid production in the joint. Unlike when stretching a muscle, joint mobilization is specific to the joint complex itself moving the joint in ways stretching could not. Joint mobilization helps restore joint function, range of motion, and decreases pain of the affected joint.
