Friendly reminder about clubs: We want to ensure we can provide the best service possible, but we need your help. If you're planning on coming to one of our clubs, sign up beforehand! While we'll still be able to sign up last-minute attendees on the day of, it really helps us if we have an idea of how many people are coming.

Learn to fit borders the easy way on Day 4. Susan will show you a variety of different border treatments, including how to fit corners precisely and connect the surrounding border pieces seamlessly. We’ll explore all the custom quilting tools, too, and you’ll be ready to take on custom quilting before the day’s end. You’ll complete yet another take-home project while learning these techniques, and your quilting confidence will soar!

Enjoy Day 3 using the many wonderful features of the crop tools! Learn to easily crop the bottom of your quilt, crop out multiple spaces of an edge-2-edge pattern, and crop around applique or embroidery. We’ll also use crop to change and create quilting designs, expanding your design library. Finally, we’ll use these skills to complete another project.

On Day 2, you will learn everything E2E. Repeat and Wrap patterns, save files properly, Drag and Drop accurately, and much more. Susan will teach you to eliminate ‘pattern drift’, avoid row gaps and overlaps, and keep your pattern precisely aligned to your quilt. Recover from any kind of interruption easily, too! Again, you’ll put all of these skills to work on a project!

Details:
Designed with the transitional seasons in mind, the Tamarack Jacket is a warm and stylish quilted coat perfect for spring and fall layering. Follow one of the two quilting designs included, or design your own to make your Tamarack totally original to you! You’ll stay toasty thanks to the inner layer of cotton or wool batting, while the roomy welt pockets will keep your belongings safe and your hands warm. Techniques involved include straight seams, basic quilting, inserting a welt pocket, and applying bias binding.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Fabric Recommendations:
-Main & Lining Fabrics: Light to mid-weight cotton, linen and linen blends, chambrays, and blends work well for this jacket. Since the fabric will be doubled and quilted to a batting avoid anything too heavy as the jacket may become excessively stiff.
-Batting: High-quality batting in cotton, wool, bamboo, or a blend. Choose the thickness based on how warm you want your coat to be.

-Thread
-7 yds of 1/2" double fold bias binding (or 1/2 yd extra fabric to make your own)
-Fusible interfacing
-View A: 4 coat hooks & eyes
-View B: 4 heavy duty snaps
-Walking Foot

GETTING TO KNOW PRO-STITCHER
Wednesday, September 11

Even experienced users will learn a lot in this session. Day 1 begins with navigation and a program overview. You’ll learn what all those buttons do, and how the Pro-Stitcher components work together to produce a fabulous stitching experience. Using what we’ve learned, you will create and stitch a fun, hands-on project.
