Got a call from Sandro that started with

“Hey Mom, is now a good time?”

After a swift “yes, what’s up?”

He went into a well written and rehearsed script to sell me a pizza card so that he can raise funds to attend his Coast Guard JROTC dance.

Here’s the great part:
Part of his script was personalized to me (a relator) where he said that most realtors bought 10 to use as closing gifts or to send to past clients.

(Sandro’s required goal was to sell 10 cards. However he set a personal goal of 15)

Then he went in with a comfortable yet hard close:
“So Mom, can I count on you to buy 4?”

So of course I said YES.

What this kid did though is pretty darn awesome. He met his goal of 15 and then decided to keep going and changed his goal to 50.

And guess what? When he met his goal of 50, he then raised his goal to 75!

Every day he is so excited and motivated to reach his new goal and probably set a new one.

What he didn’t know is that watching him would provide me with some daily inspiration. Here are my takeaways:

- You can’t get to your goal if you don’t start
- Follow up is key
- Momentum is real, when you reach your goal, put your foot on the gas, don’t stop!

So, another cool thing he did for me is motivate me to get running again and last night I went on my first run with him in over a year!! Pic in the comments 😅
