Pizza as green as it grew from the ground! All kudos to Foraged.NY, .ny for picking possibilities. They gave us ramps to jazz up the dough, and the dame’s rocket is a spring roller coaster. This is a show you won’t wanna miss, from the part of NY that nobody talks about!

It’s feeling like spring has really sprung at The Quackenbush House this week!

As you’ll see when you’re strolling through the square or popping in for a visit, the flowers for the property have been delivered and planting is underway. Stay tuned here and on our website for the official opening of the garden.

We have proudly partnered with Foraged.NY to add locally foraged products to our menu. This week we’re offering (spiked!) Sweet Magnolia Tea made with local magnolia petals and Albany Greens, with sautéed greens from… you guessed it, Albany!

We have live music twice this week: Wednesday is Live Irish Session, now on the first and third Wednesday of the month through the fall. Foraged NY has also set up live music Friday with LS Daniel at 8pm on the front patio!

Now that you've gathered bagfuls of wildly delicious goods, what can you do to make it last?

Discussions and demonstrations on a series of activities to ensure you can enjoy your foraged spoils all year long! Including but not limited to: quick pickling, syrups and sugars, salts, canning, blanching and freezing, and dehydrating. Led by Sean Rowe and the Collar City Mushrooms team of Avery, Amy, Corinne, and Dave.

Foraged ingredient snacks and beverages to sample will be included. All vegan. Participants will hand craft some Foraged Greens and Collar City Mushrooms dumplings to bring home.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with this year! They’re hosting a tour on Sunday and, last I heard, have only two spots left 👀

Join them for a two hour walk and presentation and learn all about seasonal native wild edible plants, their history and ecology, how to gather them sustainably, and how to prepare them! Led by ethnoecologist Justin Wexler and agroforester Anna Plattner of Wild Hudson Valley.
