๐จ๐ Good Morning Lincoln County! ๐๐ป
Your safety is our top priority, and we're here with some important info. ๐ก๏ธ Lately, we've noticed a surge in phone and online scams targeting our wonderful community. And hey, just a heads up, your friendly Sheriff's Office won't be giving you a ring about any "outstanding warrants" โ we'll leave the drama to reality TV! ๐
Now, let's get serious about staying safe:
๐ Our first tip: never panic! Scammers love to create chaos. If someone claims you've got a warrant and asks for payment, hang up faster than a squirrel on caffeine.
โก Tip two: verify, verify, verify! If you're not sure who's calling, call us back using the official number listed on our website. No detective work needed.
๐ง Our wise advice for our cherished elderly citizens:
1๏ธโฃ Take your time. Scammers try to rush you, but remember, they're the ones on a clock, not you.
2๏ธโฃ Stay up-to-date with technology. Our grandkids might have some fancy gadgets, but we can outsmart those scammers any day!
3๏ธโฃ Share the love. Pass these tips along to your pals โ let's keep the whole posse safe.
Remember, we're here to protect and serve, not to play prank calls. Keep those scam-spottin' goggles on, and if you come across any suspicious activity, give us a holler. Together, we'll keep Lincoln County scam-free! ๐๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
