Today during the Auxiliary’s breakfast we will be conducting a Veteran Service Officer event.

Veterans Coffee Talk most every Thursday at LCCOA. Veterans enjoying the fellowship of other Veterans while continuing to serve their community. Starts at 9am, but get there early if you want a seat!!

Today the Fair proudly recognizes our veterans as we designate today 'Veterans Day at the Fair'! ALL veterans are admitted FREE with a valid ID. It is also one of our favorite days at the Fair as it culminates with our Jr. Livestock Auction! The support given to our 4-H/FFA students is truly amazing. Enjoy Full Throttle Monster Trucks, Jesse Vaughn and Drawl STL in the Beer Garden, the Open Western Horse Show, carnival rides, our many vendors, Ready Go Dog Show and much more!!

National Cemeteries Offer Free Burial for Veterans Just what does burial in a National Cemetery involve?

Come join us Friday night for Bingo! The progressive jackpots are getting up there. Basic page is $23.00 for 16 games. It is $3.00 each card to play the progressives.

Lincoln County Memorial VFW 8828 and VFW Auxiliary Post 8828 Troy, Missouri are supporting Operation Bottom Cover. Please bring a new package of diapers or baby wipes to donate on Friday night. We will be collecting through September! This will support Military families throughout Missouri.

Post Members and Auxiliary, don’t forget our meeting is tonight at 7:00pm. If you are a member and not receiving the emails please send us a PM, so we can add you to the distribution list.

The VFW supports the comprehensive Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act.

Veterans and survivors can benefit from many of the bill's provisions. It would expand the caregiver program to those who serve our nation’s veterans.

Ensuring veterans can receive care in the VA or the community is crucial to their quality of life. We must continue to enhance services and benefits to provide all veterans with access to care and prompt mental health services.

Caregivers also need the resources required to properly care for our selfless men and women. Additionally, veterans should not be financially burdened when receiving ambulatory services for emergency care.

The Missouri National Guard’s 135th Army Band invites you to celebrate the service of Veterans, current and past Service Members, military families, and your community members in
a free summer concert featuring their Concert Band and Jazz Band in the Hungate Performing Arts Center of Troy Buchanan High School on July 3, 2024, at 7:00pm.

The 135th Army Band is under the Command of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Keith Moyer and First Sergeant Charles Bart. The Citizen-Soldiers of the 135th Army Band represent a diverse group of individuals who proudly serve our great Nation and State. They are college students, engineers, teachers, music performers, pilots, business professionals, and your neighbors.

As Soldiers of the Missouri Army National Guard, they stand ready to answer the call and to represent all those who have and will wear the uniform proudly. The 135th Army Band has performed for civic and military events both nationally and
internationally, including concerts in Hawaii, Alaska, Germany, France, and all corners of Missouri, and is honored to include a stop in Troy, MO, on its summer concert tour.
